If you want to veer off in that direction...no. The force behind it is still subservient...and by the true nature of all things...is forced to declare its intentions.
If society were "doomed", they would have had permanent dominion a long time ago...there is an ebb and flow at play.
The real motive behind "depopulation" is an attempt to maintain the status quo. They are obsessed with maintaining it...the Pharaoh/slave dynamic. They view themselves as the descendants of gods...and are willing to destroy everything to retain the power they deem rightfully theirs. They are only here because of a breech...in some ways, they are stranded. The forgotten descendants of a colossal ****up...all these occult practices were forged as a fleeting attempt to return to what they once were. They know how to manipulate the natural forces...what was once deemed "magic' is now called science.
You dont see any other earthly life form reinventing and utilizing hidden elements to remake it's world...especially as such an abrupt pace. We are an anomaly...alien and out of place. Some more alien than others...hence the obsession with bloodline lineage.
In a lot of ways...they've proven what they claim.
