How 'bout the league take their thumb off the scale? And it's especially egregious when it's what they did this week when it was clearly "well we're not sure so here's flag..." Instead of telling our OT that he needs to be slower or start at a less advantageous position that any other OT in this league can start at, thus subjecting our 1/2 billion dollar quarterback to a greater risk of being hit, how 'bout we tell the damn league office to play it fair? |
I’m not sure what to think about Taylor. The broadcast never gives a good camera angle to tell whether or not he is really lined up illegally.
I will say that the pre-snap penalties need to stop, one way or another. They’re killing us. We know the league can be ****y sometimes so I’ll leave it up to Jawaan to get it right on his end. Line up how you would think you should, then just be safe and move up another 6-12 inches. |
Its time for Clark Hunt to call the league office and make a stink

The margins in this league are so incredibly small that if you're NOT pushing it to the absolute limit of legal, you're starting every snap at a disadvantage. That's a wholly unfair expectation of a team, let along one single player. And again, it's essentially unprecedented. I'm tired of "well why doesn't Taylor just...{insert remedial action designed to accommodate league ****ery}?" How 'bout the league stop the goddamn ****ery instead? |

Cool. Then we’ll get called for an offensive neutral zone infraction. If that’s even what it’s called. We can’t win with these dickbags, so quit trying to appease them. |

And since it's essentially an invisible line that the officials just kind of eyeball, they'll call it whenever they want to. It's bullshit. The officiating is the problem - not Jawaan Taylor. There shouldn't be any sort of divide here - this entire organization needs to be screaming bloody murder. |
I'm surprised they didn't flag Taylor for having his shoelaces tied incorrectly.

Reid isn't very happy about this.

The league doesn't need to be consistent - Taylor needs to just suck it up and be MORE legal than everyone else. |
Besides being singled out by the refs I thought Taylor was doing a pretty good job. Seemed like the whole OL was playing well.
