I'm just tired of this crap. I'm tired of seeing Karlaftis get BLATANTLY held in the end-zone right in front of an official and it goes uncalled only for them to throw a flag on Taylor because they couldn't actually TELL if he was lined up far enough (since he was covered by the WR).

I'm tired of watching the Jags just rape our DL on every single snap and go a an entire game without a penalty while Taylor gets boned on a simple push that makes a huge impact in the drive.

We're being officiated unfairly and it's getting really goddamn old. Clark and Andy need to be in someone's ear about this because it's absolutely ridiculous and as near as I can tell, completely unprecedented.

Oh, and tell that mother****er Collinsworth that he has ZERO access this week. Nothing, not a moment. Any league mandated interviews are met with one-word answers. That one who sucks the penis should be a non-entity to this organization for as long as Taylor is rostered. He should be dead to them.

Because this is completely unacceptable. Our OTs are playing FANTASTIC football, especially for what it is we want them to do (Pass pro) and they are being talked about more because of penalties and some bizarre league mandated witch hunt. This ain't okay. This isn't a time that Clark needs to Protect the Shield like the good soldier he's always been.

He needs to scorch the ****ing earth. This cannot continue.

Yep. There is tons of examples all over the league every week but none get called.

Or Reid did the smart thing and removed a player getting rat****ed by blatantly biased officiating before it actually did start affecting his play and had designs to rip every mother****er at league HQ a new one.

**** that.

How 'bout the league take their thumb off the scale?

And it's especially egregious when it's what they did this week when it was clearly "well we're not sure so here's flag..."

Instead of telling our OT that he needs to be slower or start at a less advantageous position that any other OT in this league can start at, thus subjecting our 1/2 billion dollar quarterback to a greater risk of being hit, how 'bout we tell the damn league office to play it fair?

ThaVirus 09-25-2023 09:57 AM

I’m not sure what to think about Taylor. The broadcast never gives a good camera angle to tell whether or not he is really lined up illegally.

I will say that the pre-snap penalties need to stop, one way or another. They’re killing us. We know the league can be ****y sometimes so I’ll leave it up to Jawaan to get it right on his end. Line up how you would think you should, then just be safe and move up another 6-12 inches.

Its time for Clark Hunt to call the league office and make a stink

Oh, it's happened already. Reid and Mahomes have even taken it public.

"just be safe" is the foot a good pass rusher needs to get to half a man and hit our QB.

The margins in this league are so incredibly small that if you're NOT pushing it to the absolute limit of legal, you're starting every snap at a disadvantage.

That's a wholly unfair expectation of a team, let along one single player. And again, it's essentially unprecedented.

I'm tired of "well why doesn't Taylor just...{insert remedial action designed to accommodate league ****ery}?" How 'bout the league stop the goddamn ****ery instead?

Cool. Then we’ll get called for an offensive neutral zone infraction. If that’s even what it’s called.

We can’t win with these dickbags, so quit trying to appease them.

Also true. They'll start dinging him for that and the prick Chris Collinsworth will start whining that its an attempt to give them an unfair advantage on running plays.

And since it's essentially an invisible line that the officials just kind of eyeball, they'll call it whenever they want to.

It's bullshit. The officiating is the problem - not Jawaan Taylor.

There shouldn't be any sort of divide here - this entire organization needs to be screaming bloody murder.

scho63 09-25-2023 10:12 AM

I'm surprised they didn't flag Taylor for having his shoelaces tied incorrectly.

dirk digler 09-25-2023 11:25 AM

Reid isn't very happy about this.

What a ridiculous comment, Andy.

The league doesn't need to be consistent - Taylor needs to just suck it up and be MORE legal than everyone else.

philfree 09-25-2023 11:34 AM

Besides being singled out by the refs I thought Taylor was doing a pretty good job. Seemed like the whole OL was playing well.
