The refs are having too big an outcome on games this year. It's so inconsistent it's ****ing up the play on the field.

If you didn’t already hate the guy, I’d suggest checking it out.

Long story short, MVS was tired going into the last play of the game and took himself out. He then slowly walked off the field and several other players had to yell at him to get him to move off the field quicker. It sounds like it caused a lot of confusion in the huddle and made the last play even more of a disaster.

That’s my quick summary of it.

What would happen to the WR room, and the team in general, if MVS was no longer part of the team next week? NOTHING! which is exactly what this guy provides - NOTHING! He's $11MM/yr of wasted space. F him.

I was at a conference in Anaheim where the female referee in this game was one of the speakers talking about leadership and the hardships of being a female in a male-dominated career. She spoke about her first game was a Chiefs game, and she screwed up a call. Every time she is on the sideline, I feel the officiating is a disaster.

There were so many horrible penalties and noncalls last night. I've seen worse calls or non-calls over the years, but I don't think I've seen a worse officiated game in my life.

The quality of officiating will only continue to decline over the next several years as long as the NFL is only concerned with hiring for diversity instead of who’s the best qualified for the job.

Imagine thinking DEI is the cause of NFL officiating blunders. :spock:

Things have gotten pretty bad. It’s not even that one team got hosed over the other last night, even though everyone here will think that’s the case. It’s that so many calls were blown that no one can even say what the outcome might have been if the game were officiated well. It’s incomprehensible.

Laying all over a WR is apparently not enough to restrict him from catching the ball..

NFL referee Brad Allen explained the decision not to throw the flag after the game.

"As you may know, on every play where there may or may not be pass interference, either offensive or defensive, the covering official has to rule whether contact materially restricts the receiver," Allen said. "And in this case, the covering officials were in good position and ruled that there was no material restriction that rose to the level of defensive pass interference.

I posted an collage of the blatant holds on all of their big plays in another thread. I didn't say 60 times, but the plays that mattered most all were had extremely bad no-calls.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I've never seen such horrible officiating in my life (and I have been watching football since before the Chiefs moved to KC). It's not just the Chiefs, it's every team and almost every game you can find unexplainable calls or no-calls. I can't explain it but the officials just seem lost out there.

In other words....I am on the take and no one can touch me.

SHOWTIME 12-04-2023 10:46 AM

Whenever there is a bad game changing call the head ref just blames the covering official.
