I grew up eating turkeys dad shot for Thanksgiving, and yes, they were great. You do have to know how to cook them properly, however, or they end up being too dry.

Also, be prepared to bite into the random pellet. Been there, done that. :D

Prime Rib, Crispy Rotisserie Duck, Truffled garlic mash.

That's fine. I'd love for someone else to do it. I wouldn't even bitch when they ****ed it up like they bitch about mine when I cook the protein properly.

But mom asked me, so I do it. I get the protein right.

Yep. Wild turkey is pretty lean so you have to keep it moist. Shoving a couple pounds of butter inside the skin works well.

Nah. I ****ing hate horseradish. I should catch drippings and do jus, but I'm lazy and I just want to get the meat right. I'd have to eat a bullet if I ****ed the meat to get the accoutrements.

Horseradish rules you neanderthal!

That was my stepmom's department, but shoving a couple of pounds of butter in something sounds like she'd do. She was the master of cooking delicious food that was absolutely horrible for you. But dad wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Look, I'm open to being wrong. Non-zero chance the shit I've had has been garbage and a horseradish sauce done right is the way the truth and the light.

But based on the stuff I've had....Nah.
