Sorry ....... (Truth ) .... Yes LA has many titles, So what........ LA has had some very good teams . Last year being lucky ? ( Truth ) Without a doubt ! I can handle the truth ! Can you ? |
Told you it would happen!!
Personally I don't see what the big discussion is about flopping. Everyone in the NBA flops. That's part of the game. In the last game between the Twolves and Lakers even Shaq flopped from a run in by Troy Hudson (Like that would ever happen). Horry did the right thing. It was planned. It was what the zenmaster calls the schemata. Everyone knew that Garnett was going out in the first minute of overtime. I sure did. The thing that pissed me off about the game was the officiating to the point that it brought back memories of last season against the Kings. I am not whining about it just stating the facts that those calls last night were very reminisant to the calls in games 5 and 7 of last years western finals. Those officials are selected on their merits and abilities to ref these playoffs. It was a pitiful display of what happens in the city of LA (where the money is) to the point of the game being rigged or fixed through officiating not game play. Luckily the Twolves showed their poise through adversity and came out victorious. If they hadn't I think some officials in that game would have fallen under scrutiny and possibly fired for there part in such a farse. Twolves will win this series. I have no doubt. They are hungrier, fresher, younger and they have Garnett being gaurded by...Mark Madson. :D GO KINGS!!!! |
I'd love to see the Wolves in the championship this year against the Pistons, I'm a huge fan of KG and Ben Wallace and it would be awesome watching them in the Finals. Plus I want people to stop bashing KG when it comes to playoff time, he's the only reason why the Wolves ever even get to the playoffs, no Garnett = T-Wolves are the next Clippers/Cavs/etc

I agree the officiating was horrible to the Lakers advantage. If the Lakers win I want them to earn it. I can't believe your still crying about the officiating in the Queens series though. KCChiefsMan wrote: Quote:

Well I see it's all talk as usual. I'll see if I can swing by the office tomorrow to see if you wanted to bet the 50 picasso. If you say yes I will confirm on Saturday if I stop by. That confirmation will meen it's on. Anything short of that no deal.

Last year wasn't lucky for the Lakers. They won the Championship. The Kings lost. At the end of the game it's who has the highest score. But just like Samaki hitting the three to win in game 5 after time expired (they changed the rules this year) or the elbow to the face from Kobe to Bibby in overtime of the 7th game (clearly an offensive foul) and the assinine calls from officials (which are to many to mention) just like last nights game - the series last year was tainted and stretched by officials to a 7 game series. And overtime. Coincidence?? I don't think so.
Last night against the Twolves with the wolves being up 5 points with 17 seconds left Kobe just happens to hit the 3 pointer and get fouled. Zerbiack was raped by the officials in the 4th period. Why? Money and favor. That's why. First the media was talking about Shaq is just not the same due to his Grandmother passing away and then there was Kobe and the arm he hurt slamming a ball in the first half of the last game (although he scored his 30). Hey tragedies happen like Bobby Jacksons mother dying this season and Webber being under possible indictment from the college years and so on and so on. NO EXCUSES LA JUST POOR PLAY!!! What I can't believe is that the NBA actually thinks that fans can set there and watch a game like what we saw last night and say - that was a fair clean game. It's just idiotic. |
What? No multitude of posts from Cal today? I wonder why?ROFL

Kings Fans??
I feel there are a couple Kings fans that feel that when the Twolves defeat the Lakers that the Championship is theirs.
Hint: You got to beat the Twolves first :D Go Wolves!!!! |

A - Have a life. B - Was putting in some OT at work. C - Was getting laid by the wife. Given that the last game went into the wee hours of the morning, I needed to figure out what the hell was happening to the Staples Center Crew and estimate their chances at pulling this series out. So here's my take on things.... The T-Cubs are playing like the T-Wolves and will beat the Lakers if they continue this torrid shooting pace. No fuggin way they keep swishing the nets at 55% the rest of the series. FWIW: I'm glad Minnesota won Game #3 given the horrendous officiating that favored the Lakers down the stretch. That Horry flop was poetic justice on Garnett because he had his 6th on Kobe's drive to the hole that wasn't called in the 4th. The Zenmaster better put another body on KG when he gets the ball or it's over for 2003. He's got way too much confidence going right now so double him up and let the others beat you. The T-Wolves got a taste of pressure when they froze up late in the 4th. Kobe's missed FT in regulation let them off the hook and allowed for a breather before OT. Kobe's sprained shoulder had an effect on his aggressiveness towards the hole. It will be interesting to see what he can do in Game #4. Until the T-Cubs put win #4 on the 3-time Champs, I'm not too concerned being down 1-2. The last game was an ammonia blast to the nostrils for this team and I anticipate a double-digit win in Game #4. Besides, it takes a few Laker losses to bring out the "Haters" anyways. :p |
