SLU is a pretty good defensive team when all cylinders are working together. Offense is meh. It will be interesting to see how the Billikens perform vs KU due to the #1 player on the team being out-Kwami Mitchell- due to a broken foot. However, Jordair Jett is the team's best defensive player and he is fun to watch.

Looking forward to this. Hopefully they come out like they did yesterday and make smoe more progress.

Terrible first half defensively. No effort at all from this team once again against a bad team at home. There should be no excuse for giving up that many points against San Jose St. in AFH.

They are doing just fine.

They're getting outrebounded by one of the worst teams in the NCAA (including 9 offensive rebounds on them in a single half). There's nothing fine about that. It's a joke and it's entirely a result of a lack of defensive effort, something that has been seen in every single game at AFH this season.

San Jose St. went 9-22 (1-13 in conference) in the WAC last year. Their two wins so far this season came against Weber State and a division three school in UC Santa Cruz and two losses to New Orleans (?) and Houston.

Yes, they suck horribly. The fact that this is even a game still is an embarrassment and a reflection of this team's defensive effort.

Of course, it will be. KU will skate by in this game like they have in all the others against the less talented teams, but that's no excuse for that kind of effort. It is also a lazy style that will come back to bite them at some point against some other team that isn't so terrible.

Some get upset here when they lose by a point to a good team in MSU on a neutral court and then they are happy when they play with no effort defensively and allow a horrible team to score/rebound on them at home. I don't get it myself.

It's all about Wins and Losses when it comes down to it.

No, it's about learning, effort, and team development at this stage of the season. They can win games like this against shit teams without any of those three things, but that doesn't mean the game was at all successful in making them better in the long run.
