This is what Andy Reid gave to Jason Peters:

4/28/2009: Signed a six-year, $60.657 million contract. The deal contains $25 million guaranteed, including an $11 million signing bonus. 2013: $10.4 million, 2014: $9.65 million, 2015: Free Agent

Ibet Albert gets something similar.

Rambozo 01-22-2013 12:57 PM

Carl Nicks got a 5 year $47.5 million contract with $31 million of that guaranteed. That's pretty much LT kind of money.

Just saying...

I'm not. You are.

I'm just saying if he got paid like a top 5 LT, I think he would play anywhere they asked him to.

I'm sure you are a nice person and all, but once in a while a n00b comes along and after a hundred posts or so, I'm thinking, "that person should cancel their account and start over with a new name". That might be you man.

Nah, I like my name. This is just a classic example of people jumping to conclusions because they didn't retain what they read. It's no biggie.

Well, sure. In Fantasyland, they could do that.

But they aren't going to.

:thumb: Yep, I agree. Let's move on. We are wasting space.

Deberg_1990 02-27-2013 01:26 PM

So are we back to taking Joeckel again at #1 ?

Sweet Daddy Hate 02-27-2013 01:40 PM

lol, we can only hope.

Welp, see ya Albert.

L.A. Chieffan 02-27-2013 01:41 PM

Trade back and grab Te'o and another stud OL

DaneMcCloud 02-27-2013 02:05 PM

Adam Schefter ‏<s>@</s>AdamSchefter Giants make significant off-season move: NY signed offensive tackle Will Beatty to a five-year, $38.75 million deal, per sources. $19 million guaranteed.

I just can't see how Albert will command $10 million a year from anyone.

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-27-2013 02:08 PM

Will Beatty is a ****ing nobody compared to Albert and he got 7.5.

Direckshun 02-27-2013 02:09 PM

I think there are still two or three defensive line studs that could look good at #1 overall.

So I think Albert is still an option to remain a Chief.

That's $7.5M a year. If Beatty is worth that, Albert is easily worth $9M.

Duane Brown's 2012 deal was just under $9 million per and he's the best LT in the league.

With Albert, Clady, Long, Andre Smith and others available, not to mention three Day One starter ready LT's in the draft, I have a hard time believing that Albert will get more than $9 million per, let alone, $10 million.

Duane Brown ****ed up and took a deal that was below market value. Long's cap number if he were tagged would be 20% more than his current $12M per number.

Again, if Beatty can get $7.5M, Albert is ABSOLTELY worth $9M.

DeezNutz 02-27-2013 02:41 PM

Moot. Albert walks, and we're drafting a LT. Guaranteed.

Yep.

This entire offseason is now following the "most likely/worst possible" scenario.

Pretty muc this.

We'll hear about how it was because he has a bad back, he'll go on to be an all pro for the Bears, we'll take Joeckel, he'll bust and the Chiefs game goes on and on.

Yeah, that's fine, $9 million per. But not $10 million or more, which is what I've seen speculated on this site for months.

I really believe they'll trade out of the #1 overall spot and think they'll take anything to do it.

O.city 02-27-2013 02:45 PM

Shit after this trade, they'll probably take a 2 rounder.

Trade out to a team drafting Geno Smith #1 overall? Classic KC.

Three predictions:
1) Geno Smith goes to the Raiders and he torches us for the next 15 years.
2) Chiefs draft Joeckel and let Albert go.
3) Joeckel never becomes what Albert was.

We'll trade with the Eagles. The Eagles will take Smith and rape.......and we'll take Joeckel or Fisher and look like ****ing idiots.

Yay.

Why the hell not. I mean everybody thinks the rookie quarterbacks are Todd Blackledge. I'm going to say Luke Joeckel is Brian Jozwiak.

If you're going to try and go against history with backup QB's might as well fight history thinking you can win trading out of the 1 hole too.

If they do this, I still hope they get Foles as part of the trade. He has more potential than a 4th round QB would have.

In other words, they'll take a broomstick up the ass.

Kind of like giving up a 2nd rounder and more for Alex Smith.

Pasta Little Brioni 02-27-2013 03:17 PM

Philly would move up more than likely. Who the **** do we take now? This is an absolute abortion.

Jason Campbell is as good as any of those dudes and is an UFA.

If they pick Joeckel #1 while being one draft and one season FA removed from Stephenson, Allen and Winston, and don't make a reasonable offer to Albert, they can suck my winky.

If they pick Lotulelei #1 after picking Poe with the #11 pick last season, they can go scrape out my ass tracks from my undies with their teeth.

If they take a pass rushing end #1 with Hali and Houston on the roster they can get raped by a water buffalo.

If they take Chance Warmack #1 they should be shot in the face repeatedly. And that's not even considering that they took Hudson and Asamoah recently.

If they take Manti Te'o #1, see above. All of the above.

The only logical, rational and sane choices that they have are Dee Milliner at CB or Geno Smith at QB.

And I'm not convinced that Milliner is substantially better than either Banks, Rhodes or Amerson (they are all long, big, fluid press cover guys who would be ideal opposite Flowers), and one of those guys is going to be available with our Round 2 pick.

Whereas the left overs from the QB position are going to be substantially less than what Geno brings to the table.

That's how I see it in a nutshell.

So just a quick add on to the Ron parker thread, would you say you were wrong here, Jason Campbell?
