I just want Bray to sit for 2 years. Know the offense, get his footwork down, have the correct throwing mechanics and go challenge for the job year 3.

Jeff Allen reportedly suffers injury at K.C. Chiefs camp
6 By Marc Sessler Around the League Writer Published: July 27, 2013 at 12:54 p.m. Updated: July 27, 2013 at 01:14 p.m. The Kansas City Chiefs are stronger at offensive tackle with top overall draft pick Eric Fisher under contract, but depth at guard took a hit on Saturday. Camp coverage on NFL Network Watch "Inside Training Camp" this week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on NFL Network. » Complete training camp coverage Jeff Allen was taken off the field during practice with a right shoulder injury, according to Adam Teicher of The Kansas City Star. Based on what he saw, Teicher believes Allen is set to "miss some time." We'll wait for the team to weigh in, but Allen was a 13-game starter as a rookie last season after the Chiefs made him the 44th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He didn't grade out well by ProFootballFocus -- ranking 79th out of 81 qualifying guards -- but the Chiefs on the whole were a disaster last autumn. Allen proved himself a versatile lineman this spring, working at guard and tackle in the absence of Branden Albert. Allen entered camp in a battle with Geoff Schwartz for the starting left guard spot, and his absence, for now, weakens a line that otherwise should be improved in 2013. Follow Marc Sessler on Twitter @MarcSesslerNFL. |
Schwartz is better anyway
|
@ArrowheadPride: Chiefs OC Doug Pederson said the option and zone read will not be a staple of the Chiefs offense.
After talking with some here I had actually began to think they would use it a little more. |

Hopefully Allen's isn't anything serious. |

I'm hearing #eagles WR Jeremy Maclin believes it is an ACL tear. Tough break for Eagles and WR on last year of deal. #TrainingCamp Man that sucks for eagles. |

Now reports are the Eagles fear Maclin tore ACL and MCL.
|
Updating a previous item, the Eagles fear Jeremy Maclin tore both his right ACL and MCL during Saturday's training camp practice.
Team docs' "first examination" revealed Maclin may have torn two knee ligaments instead of a routine ACL tear. Either way, the early signs are ominous for the scant remaining hope Maclin might be able to play in 2013. Maclin's MRI is taking place Saturday afternoon. The year-ending injury improves DeSean Jackson's fantasy outlook slightly, and bumps Riley Cooper onto the first team. |
Any word on Abdullah?(sp?) i may have missed it but i dont recall much fs talk. I expected this kid to be blowing it up and putting KL where he belongs being a solid backup somewhere.

Denis Pitta of BAL was carted off today and a browns player but the browns player isn't known yet.
|
Has our new rich boy fractured his labia yet?
|
Kinda hate training camp. The best part about reading training camp reports are getting through them and not seeing that a major player had been injured.

Wow that sucks

The fugggg |
How the hell does a serious neck injury like that take place without pads? I figured it was heat exhaustion or something...

The player taken from the practice field in Berea, Ohio on Saturday was Browns offensive lineman Ryan Miller.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Miller was awake, alert, and had movement in his extremities. Acquired in the 2011 draft with the sixth-round pick that came to Cleveland with running back Peyton Hillis for quarterback Brady Quinn, Miller played in eight games last season. He was taken to the Cleveland Clinic main campus for further evaluation. |

"No contact" rarely means no contact. Even without pads, these guys are some of the more competitive people in the world, and it's hard to temper that during things of a competitive nature. Any number of things can cause a neck injury. Head to head contact, being run into, or (as silly as it sounds) hitting or being hit awkwardly by a sled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 |
@adamteicher: I'm hearing Jeff Allen's injury doesn't appear to be serious. No word on when he could practice but it may not be long
|
@Jacobs71: “@scott_a_hughes: is Bray gonna make this team?” He should unless he does something bone headed off the field.
|
@Jacobs71: “@kevsbg: Is Alex Smith struggling with accuracy or strenght in his passes?” Both. Some of it is timing on the accuracy factor.
|
@Jacobs71: Don't like how often the WRs are waiting for the ball to get to them from Smith. #Chiefs
|
Cool. We traded for Matt Cassel. Again.
Thank God we never take chances at the QB position. We might actually have to deal with success if we ever did that. |
IT'S ONLY TRAINING CAMP, GIVE HIM TIME

@Lance_THESPOKEN: Alex Smith can change from 7 yrs of mediocrity. RT"@BlakePennSMS11: @Lance_THESPOKEN The Chiefs will make the playoffs if ______?"
|
Let's assume for a second that Geno Smith won't become a legit starting NFL QB.
What exactly did we save by trading for Alex Smith? How the **** was he the safer option again? He was more expensive. More likely to wallow in mediocrity and waste several years in the careers of our best players. More likely to get injured. It's not provable now, but in two or three seasons we'll all see that even in a ****ing terrible draft class of QBs, drafting your starter beats trading for him EVERY. GODDAMN. TIME. |

We did, but thats what i expected. I dont expect this team to be any good unless somehow our defense turns into a 49'er clone. |
Only Chiefs fans can be disapointed when they are right.

Guys, it's early in training camp, lets give it time. Offenses are always behind early in camp

So bad he makes Sean Smith look good.

You know, that's another part of Jon Baldwin that has been disappointing...he doesn't fight for the ball like he did in college.
If that was a deep ball, it's the receivers job to knock the ball down if he can't catch it. |
