Durban Poison
|
I like PE as opposed to Durban. So much fruitier without feeling like a crack head. Population disagrees with me tho. Durban Poison is still our most popular sativa.
I like chunky diesel but right now it's only at Green Solution. Pr- can we work a trade? ;) |
I tried to pm ya K. Probably don't want to out PR's place of employment. Unless I'm reading that wrong.

It's been a way hot summer up here. I can count on one hand how many days we've had NOT in the 90's. My resolve & ingenuity have been lessened.
Another expect high of 98 today. The wife & I were talking last night. People would look at us "even more so" if we told them we moved wherever to escape the NW heat. One thing about it, it's never been like this since we both moved here early 1990's. I lost one of my hydro plants ( Sensi Star )out on the deck. Reservoir temps too high. The other one got root rot too but I was on top of it & got it treated right away & improved the reservoir conditions. It's now a monster & loving life. The others in buckets & planters are really starting to fill in. I have a Chemdawg in the tent that I just switched over to 12/12 couple days ago. I pulled 4 clones off her as well. Once the clones get going I'm gonna start them out @ 12/12 right away so I should have a good amount in about 10 weeks. The rootball. You can see the leftover brown root rot under the white. This plant is loving the tub. The roots stretch throughout the water surface. I'm giving it MicrobePL bacteria to help keep the water clear & clean & it's working. Someone told me about it. Check out the black basket the plant sets in. The trunk is getting so big it's pushing the sides out. It won't be long & it'll be as big as the top of the basket. |
I took the pictures correctly. They're not saved 90 degree off like the board is showing them.
Sorry about that. I loaded them correctly. It's the forum. |

Alright. Good deal. Thought I had read awhile back that disclosing your employer was a big no no. Happy tokin'.

Yes, I vape as well. Just old school and prefer smoking. |
Guys all the recreational weed burned in the first year started as medical. Where do you think we got it from?

Just got back from Denver. Drove. Got an o.pen vaper from a friend but have no cartridge. How does someone get one in Kansas City? Was going to get one this morning but nothing opened until 9 am. Had to leave at 7. Sorry. Newbie here.

I have zero motivation on indicas. On the other hand Durban would make me take apart a washing machine. |

Might be wrong (shock) but if dealing with labs there is a difference of THC versus CBD. Reason for it. |

Also seems cleaner to me, regardless of quality. Just seems easier on an old ass. Seems to me to make it stronger but that might be the less tar, nicotine etc. This GG #4 is wow! No wonder they sent a sample. Price is crazy tho. |

Major marketing item they gloss over. I own 6 vaporizers and all but 1 in last 3 years in BS. Still combustion, just no lighter needed and works in wind or sneak a toke. According to a friend anyway. |
PS Real vapor is quite odorless. Smells just doesn't hang out! Maybe you got a good vaporizer.
|
Yeah i have an Easy Vape. No idea if that's good or not. But i like it, it gets the job done better than the traditional methods.
|

Combustion is indirect, kinda like BBQ and smoking difference. Think that is a website not a brand maybe.. Yeah a drunk worried about tar etc.. LOL. I have the 2nd model DaVinci and worked great with no BS items in between. That is bout 3 years old. Does work for solids, leaf and kinda oil. Tempted to get the new 1 with glass delivery. Might be a lie but I know homegrown is much better than cigs. Just need to quit all! :banghead: |

Recreational weed has only been available for a little over a year. And it could not be grown until it went legal. What do you think was sold January 1, 2014? Very few strains are being sold as high CBD low THC because they work symbiotically. But even still that has Nothing to do with whether a flower was medical or rec. There is no difference. Sorry. |
I enjoy retail but I want to learn more! Gonna start looking for positions either in the kitchen or the grow.
Need to find a nice grow tent as well to begin my own garden. |

Well my big Dominator in water died. I did some some clipping & didn't wash my hands that I had Miracle Grow on them from feeding the dirt plants before hand.
It came out of it but went down hard. When I dismantled everything there were little larvae worms on the root ball. I had a fly or mosquito get inside the tote. Then the big Dominator in dirt turned out to be a male. So I'm down to 2 dirt ( Afgan & Dominator ) plants on the deck & the Chemdawg in my tent. Pic of seeds starting. |

I'm still not sure about the 2 plants outside whether they're male or female. They've both been in preflower for a long time. I sure hope they both make it and are female.
Miss Chemdawg is looking good in her house inside the garage. 4 weeks today in flowering. It's suppose to be a 10 week flower so just about half way there. I tried 3 times to pull clones off her with each method a little different with no luck. Crazy enough the 4th time I just stuck some cuttings in a bottle of water with b vitamin & the stems won't root but they won't die either. The other times was with rockwool. The other strains rooted so I need to keep trying different methods. The other 2 could die or be males. I only care about this plant currently. |
Quote:
I'm kinda confused on what you mean by seeds starting. Males do not produce seeds. Those sacs are male pollen clusters forming. They produce pollen to impregnate the mom. The mom will produce the seeds. I would not be letting that male live if you don't want the chance to pollinate your other plants. Ask away if you have any questions. |

Since you posted you did not know what sex your outdoors plants were. I thought I would let you know it is a male of the pic you posted. I was trying to help you. To save you time and effort. I didn't have to and believe me, it won't happen again. Have fun with your Miracle-Gro. |
I wasn't trying to show off. LMAO
I've gotten several positive reps for my "look at me" pix. That's why I've been posting them. I know Laz has been keep up. If the pix come off like that, I'll damn sure quit posting them. I posted the "pollen sacks" ? for discussion. If you've been reading this thread then you'd know this wasn't my 1st grow. I'm learning as I go and I'm not gonna come to a football forum for advice. And if I do, there's a few here I already know & trust & would do it through PM's, not in this thread. It seems as though my post didn't sit well with you. It was not my intention. |
Now I see why there are so many brain dead posters on here.

My experience has been it's the strain. Some of them have been super resilient. I'm throwing everything I have knowledge wise at the Chemdawg cause I don't want to screw this one up. And as you know, I've had several hiccups along the way. $20 for 3 seeds & this was the only successful germination. I even had issues with it initially. The stalk was super flimsy at the hyrdroton level. The top dozen or so leaf canopy actually fell over. I didn't mess with it & branches started popping up on the horizontal area. Now that she's straightened herself out those branches are shooting upside down almost. It doesn't have a very nice shape so it can be a pain getting it completely under the light. My light's best area is 4' x 4'. |

Now I would say the opposite. LMAO As far as dirt goes. Most people don't try hydroponics outdoors so I knew there might be issues. I was really liking the less maintenance of the dirt plants. Just find the right amount of water & hit 'em everyday vs. checking PH & H20 quality every time you add water for a deep water set up as far as hydroponics. I know it's easy to grow outside in western Kansas. The stuff was growing in every ditch. |

Did some hydro with roommates in my early 20's. Set it up well, and it seems the only thing you have to do is check up on the plants. Which you do everyday out if excitement anyway.
Change the water out a couple of times, add nute's and you're good. Flush and harvest. |

You must have been in an area with good water. Here it comes out of the tap @ 6.8-7.3. & needs to be high 5's. Also since I'm growing in a smaller tent I need to keep the humidity levels down while flowering or the buds get mold. As long as the dehumidifier is continuously kicking on I've found that means the plant is photosynthesizing properly. That's how I can tell if one of them is sick. Low H20 intake & humidity. The sweet spot is around 75-78 degrees for my Chemdawg. When it is that temp consistently, the dehumidifier seems like it runs constantly & H20 uptake is higher. I've been spraying them on occasion with Dutch Masters Liquid Light/Satuator. I read where DM has a school where they develop & test everything they make so I try to stay with their products. Quote:
But she agreed that a greenhouse would be so much better for me. I have a buddy who grows only in the dirt & every year whatever he plants in the greenhouse always gets a lot bigger than what he has outside. I don't know a lot about them but my only concern would be how hot it gets back there? Is there such a thing as too hot? Anyhoots, Harbor Freight has like a 6' x 8' for $300, 1st of the year on sale for $199. It hasn't been that cheap since. They also have a bigger one, I think 10' x 12' but they want like $5-600. They don't have any dimensions on the smaller one's door so we've held off for now. |

Although hail etc might be a problem, i dunno. |

Best advice I can give is don't start a grow until you have it planned from start to finish (and all the equipment and supplies). The only on-the-fly decisions you should have to make are ones that involve pests. |
