Pittsburgh Steelers select Joe Ostman DE/OLB Central Michigan

Hoover 04-18-2018 12:24 PM

With the 233rd pick in the draft the Kansas City Chiefs select Brian Allen, C, Michigan State

I'll be honest, I was targeting Mason Cole and thought I could wait on him. I guess not. I still like Brian Allen as an inside lineman. Plays with a lot of attitude, which is something I think we need inside. Lets get nasty and run people over! Obviously I have concerns about Morse health wise and and he's entering the final year of his rookie contract. Not sure he's worth market rate. So lets hope a guy like Allen can step in and compete for the job or get ready for the job in 2019.

Mother****erJones 04-18-2018 12:33 PM

The Carolina Panthers select WR Ray Ray McCloud Clemson

The New York Jets select WR Daurice Fountain Northern Iowa

I'll PM the next guy. I searched and didn't find these names. So if I missed them let me know and I can change them real quick. I have a board set for these picks.

When you sign up to participate in this thing.....you know full well how much time and effort you're going to have to invest on your part. Should everyone be sending out PMs? Yes. And if you aren't....then you're part of the problem. If you can't send out a PM....it's ****ing simple to post in the thread and ask someone to do it for you. And being on your phone isn't an excuse....I do half of this shit from my phone.

SNR and myself put a ton of our time into this.....setting it all up....keeping it updated and trying to keep it flowing at a decent pace. If you can't be bothered enough to check the thread every once in a while and see how close you're getting to your upcoming pick or determining that you're going to be gone and PM'ng someone else your upcoming pick......then you can not sign up again. I don't care how much of an asshole that makes me sound like.

Appreciate the effort you guys put into doing this but it alot of work without the PM and we've ALWAYS done the PM thing. Either way I'm pretty busy and I didn't purposely not mean to miss my pick. I'm going to step down for the interest of everyone though and let someone else enjoy making the rest of my selections.

Again thank you to SNR for doing this.

Mother****erJones 04-18-2018 01:01 PM

I have my next Panthers pick ready too as long as he’s not picked

Just saying, you’d think a decade of gleeful participation with next to no issues would net me some benefit of the doubt.

Guess not.

Hoover 04-18-2018 02:14 PM

The only good thing about all this drama is that its a distraction from who I drafted for the Chiefs. Very Trump-like. Thanks guys!

Hoover 04-18-2018 03:18 PM

probably a project.

Direckshun 04-18-2018 03:20 PM

FOr the record, I harbor no ill will and I think Pest and SNR did an outstanding job as usual.

I was very difficult this year, which I did not anticipate. I did anticipate a hectic schedule but I adore this annual tradition and didn’t want to miss out on it.

I tried to pull off the balance and was unsuccessful. That’s 110% my bad, and I’ll again apologize for it. I’ve been great for a decade and hated it when others stalled. I know it’s infuriating.

I plan on participating next year, but I’ll be doubly mindful if my schedule would prevent me from doing a good job.

Thanks to Pest and SNR for doing great, and thanks to all my fellow drafturbators. And thank you to whomever will draft any of my remaining picks.

Keep up the good work.

If anything, it just makes us more mindful of how much is required of us if we sign up to be owners. Also reminds us to be more cognizant of PMing picks to other owners if schedule issues do arise.

No hard feelings. We'll figure it out.

I gave you Toby Weathersby instead of Timon Parris for the 49ers. Your Jacksonville pick doesn't happen for another couple teams yet.

Let me know if you want it to be changed before Pestilence selects.

With the 243rd pick in the NFL Draft., the Kansas City Chiefs select Michael Joseph, CB, Dubuque.

The Chiefs continue to work on CB depth. Joseph is a DIII player and is a project, but has the size, speed, and natural talent teams are looking for. Joseph is probably a practice squad guy in his frist year, but who knows there are ample openings at the position with the Chiefs.

Not bad for not having a 1st round pick. I'll do my hindsight is 50/50 draft minus the 7th round.

#54 - Jessie Bates III, FS, Wake Forest

Carter is a really intriguing prospect for sure. Georgia used him in different ways from the few games I watched.

Hoover 04-19-2018 11:31 AM

I like Carter, and if I have any bias its that I NEVER want to see Frank Zombo at OLB again. Ford moght help get us through 2018 but I can't see how the Chiefs could feel good about giving him a long term contract. Which is why for me OLB is our biggest need. Hell I'm not even sold on Houston long term.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select , Jordan Mailata, OT, South Sydney

The 21-year-old Mailata is giving American football a try after playing rugby in Australia . He’s gigantic at 6’8 and 345 pounds. He’s also reportedly hit five seconds in a 40-yard dash, which gives some indication of his athleticism. Tremendous potential but a project which some coaching could become devastating.
