Put some devil horns on it.
|
The interview was pretty good. I thought he did a solid job until he started crying at the end and trying to talk about his charity work and how much he loves his friend.
However, the most important part was his explanation of what he specifically meant with his words. And that part he completely whiffed on. He basically said he was referring to Brit Reid, and the fact that he's the only defensive coach that didn't get fired. That makes no sense. How is that an example of Reid trying to "fix" someone and it failing? I really don't know all the history of Reid's kids. Don't really want to. But I know there were some criminal charges and drug stuff. I figured if Kietzman was going to explain this away it would be a reference to a still-living son who was still having trouble. If this is all he's got then it's beyond weak. |

Question: How can you fire Kietzman if he owns the radio station? |

We can gnash our teeth and shake our fists but unless there's a hit in the station's ad revenue only two things will happen; jack & s**t. |

I’m not sure I follow your reasoning at all. |

My only issue with going after sponsors is the mom and pop owned businesses.
Myself being a small business owner I might spend my whole advertising budget for the year on a certain platform (I dont but ) and I wouldn't have anywhere else to go. It wouldn't mean I support that station and I'd pull my advertising asap.... Going after the corporations would make the impact. |

If you shopped at a store and you knew that between the hours of 2:00-6:00 that people were going to be treated like dog shit, how often would you frequent that place? Furthermore, you're going to think poorly of that entire business (and management) because of that one employee. |

I have some mixed feelings about this. If KK is genuine in his apology, we should say "OK, the man has shown remorse at his comments and he manned up and apologized." But my cynical real world self can't help but feel this is nothing but spin doctoring and self preservation on KK's part. It's hard to buy that anything this man says is genuine, because he's a radio huckster. He's a shill. He told you that the cookie diet would help you lose weight and keep it off, for chrissakes! He will literally say ANYTHING with conviction that somebody pays him to say. So, when he gets up and sheds crocodile tears on TV, it's hard to buy that. My gut tells me he's not really remorseful for what he said, he's remorseful for the shit storm it stirred up, which put his station's ad revenue, and ergo, his job and future, at risk. He's sorry that he almost screwed up his kushy gig. That what I really think. Now, what'll WHB do? Nothing. They'll do nothing. Because the public has the attention span of an Irish Setter. So he'll either be back on the air tomorrow, or they let him cool off another week. But he'll be back, unless the damage is so severe they buy him out of his ownership stake. He wins either way. Sad.

Not the waitresses fault, but you're just not as happy as you'd have been. You may still say "well it's not her fault, I'll give her 20%" but if you'd have had a homerun meal you'd be looking at 25+. It's just human nature. They can try to distance themselves from KK all they want, but he's a stain on the station and has been for over a decade. |

So while i'd love to be able to flip on the 810 app and listen to them on the way home, frankly, there is so much other content out there at this point that I think radio is dying a slow death that I can't really care about him that much. |
MELLINGER RETWEETED ME LMAO

We both believe he is not. But others may believe he is. I also have real problems with his character issue. He cheated on his first wife with an intern -now his current wife. So his moralizing about Tyreek Hill or Andy Reid rings hollow to me. Judge not lest ye be judged, or something biblical like that... He should just leave the character judgements up to Goodell and the NFL, because it really doesn't matter what the rest of us think. The judgement is in the hands of the NFL now. |

Jeff Allen @JeffAllen71 · 3h Sounds like someone that isn’t really sorry. What an asshole |
I delivered my first massive payload of the day around 7:30 when I woke up. Does that count for anything???

Kietzman I think realizes he literally ****ed himself over with the entire Chiefs organization. From Clark down to the towel boy.

But apparently this morning SSJ and I guess Petro are pretty much distancing themselves from KK. Another think KK did which was, imo, just as bad, was literally lying by saying things like "The DA says he broke his arm but can't prove it.." He has consistently lied throughout this entire ordeal so throw all that in with this and yes, dude should be canned. |

After reading what he has done in the past, I really think he's too delusional to be able to realize that. |

Does anyone else remember when he said Thomas Robinson's little sister was a lucky little girl in response to KU fans starting a fundraiser for her right after their mom died? F him!

810 has pulled all Kietzman podcasts off their website. Must be ashamed of him or something

I think the real brunt of this "ordeal" happens when 810 has trouble speaking with players or getting anything than a uhhuh in interviews.
If this team is as close as being reported it could become an unwritten rule as long as KK is on the air we keep it to a minimum |

Contractually do the Chiefs have to still do interviews and such with 810?

Thanks Jeff Allen. I will always remember you and Donald Stephenson with the taint of being the guys we drafted instead of Russell Wilson but yeah thanks.

810 - "how was training camp today "? Random player " fine" 610 for instance " how was training camp today?" Random player " was really good, we worked on some fundamentals and new schemes. So and so really did a great job while we saw so and so needed to adjust a few things. We are making some real strides..... You see what I mean. |

The Chiefs should go with the Russell Westbrook approach if they are forced to give interviews to 810.

The teams have so much leverage over the radio stations there that I have to imagine they are ridiculously team friendly in their terms. If the Chiefs don't have a 'your drivetime jockey was a monumental ****' escape clause, I'd be stunned. |
Will the stupid bundle of sticks be back on the radio today?
