Today I had planned on slipping out to hunt turkeys with one of the kids, working and then hunting mushrooms. I found out yesterday afternoon I needed to go do some essential worker, tight deadline stuff.
I needed to work my bees and was in a hurry and did every rookie move I could, banging hives, dropping frames and making them all as angry as possible and got a minor ass kicking. Then I mowed the yard and scrambled to be gone. I left at 6am, drove 300 miles to work on a project where after lunch time(didn't eat) I got stuck in an atv...like really stuck in the middle of nowhere and winch wouldn't do it. An hour after getting out I had a blowout in the truck. After fixing that I decided to call it a night around 7 and headed out to a hotel where I'm currently named for both of the rooms they have occupied. 5 minutes from there, wheel bearing explodes and I'm pulling a trailer with nothing except gravity holding the tire on.... It's been a great ****ing day. Now I'm looking at social media pics of all the dead turkeys and buckets of morels my people have found today. |

I should be about 4 hours from touching down in Paris... instead I'm sitting on my couch drinking Dos Equis.
Thanks China, awesome honeymoon. |

Travel is, by far, the thing I'm missing most in all of this. Enjoy the Dos Equis. Someday, it'll be a funny(ish) story. |
Yesterday we got a LOT of work done at the dive lake yesterday with the folks from the shop (15 tons of regular gravel for the road and 8 tons of pea gravel for the beach area (thank GOD for the dude with the Bobcat!!)); so this year's students will love the place even more. As a bonus the younger son and I got a dry-suit dive in - no leaks for either of us, WOOT, and got to test the new full face masks in a real environment, but we were pretty tired so it didn't last but 40 minutes.
Today I picked up the new (to me) AR today, so things aren't too bad. |

I feel blessed, I haven't had to cancel anything major. I feel super-bad for those of you who have. Ugh..

This is all getting easier now that we have a new routine worked out. Still sucks just not as long and hard.

My mother in law is a drunk....she's also a depressive person that takes a lot of meds to deal with it.....
She calls everyday saying shit that would make you think she's high as shit. She's 74 and telling my wife she's possessed by the devil, or that there is an animal in her house...when there isn't... If this continues I'm going to strongly suggest it's time for her to go to a home. |

I just want the beer stores, gym, and barber shops to reopen.
Besides that I'm mustard! |
I've lost around $9k and counting.
|
My unemployment checks have started coming. With the extra 600 I'm making $23 an hour to sit at home 40 hours a week.

Just started....
Mississippi Mud .....a book about crime/corruption in the deep south, a true story. Edward Humes the author. 427 pages. hmmmm? a week. |
I'm moving mine down a point this week as I am burnt out working so much.
60 hours for the last 9 weeks for a soon to be 57 year old guy ain't what's it cracked up to be! :banghead:  |

I typically work 84 hour weeks during our spring shutdown which is usually around 35 days. I Was all geared up for it this year only to have a pandemic shut it down. This would have been my last one. My wife is happy but I like that month of checks. |
THE ONLY THING I NEED IS SPORTS

Bored as ****

Quit my temp job because it sucked ass (they tried to squeeze a 6-week training into 2 weeks, and it just didn't work for me). But, on the bright side, our governor reopened some state parks so I can go for walks again without worrying about the po-po, and the Chinese delivery place in my town reopened...

Welp, I strained my back changing the bag in the trashcan! So, today, not so great.
CHANGING THE BAG IN THE ****ING TRASHCAN. You can't make this shit up! What the ****! |

Well poop, we put the SeaDoo in the water and it's now in the shop... So a strained lower back and a not-working-too-well SeaDoo, things could be better.
|
I lost my balance and fell the other day. My hip is popping again (the one I had surgery on) and I'm terrified that I ****ed it up..again. I also think any lumbar disc not already herniated from my accident is now herniated. I ended up going to the ER today because I can't walk without a cane. I hope I don't get coronaids...
The Kansas City Chiefs won the Superbowl, though, so I can at least die happy. On a related note my penis still works |

Feel like I'm in one of those disaster movies. Sure seen a lot of old football games and a movie off the Fire Stick every night. Reading 50 pages a day...Mississippi Mud.
Getting a routine working. |
It's a sad day, but a good day, the younger son and I spent the the morning riding with the Missouri Patriot Guard Riders to honor a 92-year-old Army veteran, a tank guy, a bad-ass, a purple heart winner, and all-around awesome guy who passed away.
This was our first time, but we will be doing more. |
Just got a fresh cut. Had to get those mutt chops off of me pronto.

My second uncle in a month died last night, so that's pretty awesome.
Overall other than having less options for entertainment we're doing just fine. I'm taking more time to get outside with the kids when weather cooperates. If it stops the drizzle shit this week I'm going to take the ones that want to camping for my boy's birthday. As bad as things are, people can still get some positives out of this rona shit. |

Depression is setting in

Was planning on coming back to the states permanently in December but I’m looking at July of 2021. I’m back to work here and able to save money to start my life back over in the states when I get back. There’s no sense coming back too soon if the job situation sucks.

It’s been awesome to see my two boys so much these last two months. My youngest will be around all Summer, but my oldest leaves in June. This is my last hoorah with him before he graduates College this next Spring. Cherishing these moments of quarantine Family time as much as we can.

I gotta admit I'm looking forward to getting back to work. I'm running out of projects to come up with and going a bit stir crazy. :toast: |

Well an employee where I work threatened myself and one other employee with physical violence. Problem is that his cousin is the VP and the HR representative and the VP is married to our supervisor.

Looking forward to the first weekend of everything being open. Gonna do a small bar crawl Saturday night, play some pool and make a little money.
Now if they'd just open the damned gym I'd be all set. |

Just got back from Shooter's World, the range lanes were full-up. Went to Macy's before then, needed new sunglasses. Drove past a Costco, not an empty spot in the lot. Treated myself to a cherry limeade on the way back.

That’s interesting. I know a guy that went to Japan to do that. I also know some teachers that do it online for decent money. Why are you wanting out? Quote:

I was never going to do it for a long time. The other good part of this experience is that I’ll always be able to do this online part time as a side hustle when I get back to the states. |
Right on.

Just now watching "The Last Dance" now that it's available to binge. And what a slimy walrus looking, clout chasing bitch Jerry Krause was.

What a ****ing guy Jordan was though damn. James would be crucified for doing/saying or acting even a single way double 3-peat champ MJ or the rest of the Bulls did in this doc. Straight up fist fights on the court, for real wasn't a foul unless blood was drawn, what a game/league the NBA was then.

Decent day on balance.
Avoided a $250 AC unit service call by replacing the $10 fan-start capacitor myself. **** you AC guys who charge $125-$150 for a weekend service call and $90 foe a capacitor anybody can get on Amazon with next-day delivery!!! Found out I got scammed out of $100. The worst part is PayPal (how I paid for the goods) is denying the claim because they sent "something". Instead of set of helmet-to-helmet Bluetooth Comms gear, they sent me a golf pencil in an envelope! LOL, a pencil, and PayPal is OK with that. What's the point of having a fraud department PayPal? You're useless! But a great ride today. Thank God for sunscreen, it ended up being rather sunny! |

I sincerely, sincerely appreciate places dedicating specific hours to seniors or those higher at risk, but for ****s sake post that information for people to see. Not just for me, but so the ****ing seniors know when its their hours. 3rd time this weekend I've been turned away due to senior hours after checking websites before leaving, and there hasn't been a single senior in sight because they don't even know its their window. Its like covid halted all ability to update websites with specific hours. /Chad rant
