And there's a better than even chance that he's actually faster than that now. |
Even in his highlights, he was caught up by defensive players while on the run. But that’s ok, not everyone has to be a track star. What’s even more impressive from his tape is his lateral speed, amazing agility, ability to make the first man miss, and most importantly his ball security.

The scheme will make him look faster than he is. Kareem Hunt was (IIRC) over 4.6 at the 2017 Combine and had multiple long TDs. We've seen similar plays from other backs the last couple of years. That's all scheme. And Edwards-Helaire is more talented than anyone we've had, and is a much better fit for what we do than anyone we've had.
|
Having dreams of 2018.
Not only did Kareem run wild, and how fun that was, but instead what it did the opposing defense and how it helped Patrick win MVP while throwing for 50/5,000. Stop the run? Stop the pass? Blitz? Sit back? Patrick is going go to another level. |
You know Andy and co. probably made the right decision when virtually every other fan base is upset by our pick. There are 49ers fans that hate the fact that we got CEH.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z4rXEma5RCw Now just imagine this guy surrounded by Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman and Patrick freaking Mahomes. CEH is the cherry on top. We are a spread offense. Not a power run team. CEH is the absolute perfect fit. |
Quote:
|
CEH in watching him has the quick feet of Barry Sanders, the bowling ball power of a Jones-Drew, the route running and hands of a Marshall Faulk and the take it to the house ability like Tyreek Hill. This kid has great 'game speed'(ability to kick it in 6th gear in the open field and score regardless of what 40 time is. ).

Taylor is a good back but I think what everyone is saying is that CEH is a better back for our team. You can't deny even our future HOF QB chose him. Also CEH had more receptions this year alone than Taylor did all 3 years combined. That is a huge part of his game and the Chiefs offense. He is just a better fit here than Taylor was. |

This past season our RB's had 90 receptions |
Quote:
What RB was a big receiver in that Chiefs offense? |
Quote:
I imagine they will have close to 100 receptions as a group next year which is why CEH was just the better fit here. |
Quote:
Hunt averaged 3 catches a game. You are going to use a FIRST ROUND pick on a RB to catch passes? I get it in the later rounds. You got it with.....group....so why change that? Marshall Faulk was catching 80 passes a season, see the difference? Hell, Roger Craig caught 92. We had a chance to get a bellcow RB who was considered the best in college football. Let Williams catch passes Maybe Taylor can catch passes. Hell, Jim Brown 2500 yards, 20TD's catching the ball. |

I sincerely request that every Ubeja Vontell post is placed through a sophisticated GloryDayz filter so that they are all filtered into a GloryDayz post. Thank You |

When have the Chiefs ever used any RB has a big time pass receiver, well? Come on, what Chief RB was brought in to catch passes, well? No CEH won't be as productive as Taylor is going to be. Check out their HS careers, the NCAA careers, it's all Taylor and not close, well this will be no different. So you know all about Steve Van Buren, Billy Cannon, Dalton Hillard, Harvey Williams, they should have used Trindon Holliday differently. |
Quote:
How many passes did Brian Westbrook catch? I'll help you out. One season, he caught 90! In ANDY REID'S OFFENSE. Now do you understand? Andy thinks Clyde is BETTER. |

Here ya go... Prior to an outstanding career with the Philadelphia Eagles, Westbrook arguably had one of the best careers for a running back at any level in NCAA history. A three-time First Team All-America selection, Westbrook rushed for 4,499 yards and 54 touchdowns in his Villanova career from 1997 to 2001, while amassing 2,639 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns, finishing with an extra five scores on kickoff and punt returns. His 9,952 all-purpose yards set an NCAA record in 2001. Westbrook was the winner of the Walter Payton Award in 2001, given to the nation's most outstanding offensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision. He set five NCAA record during his tenure with the Wildcats, which included 41 school records. Now how in the hell is CEH better than that? |
We have GOT to get Ubeja and Knowmo together in the same room!

Quote:
Mahomes Hill Travis Kelce MH Watkins Damien Williams CEH What the ****? Can you not see a prolific offense only getting BETTER? I am done with you - crawl back under the rock you were spawned from. I do have something else to add - HE PLAYED AGAINST TOP TIER COMPETITION! IN AN UNDEFEATED SEASON AGAINST THE BEST IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL! What can you POSSIBLY argue? SEC RULES! |
Quote:
Did he play on a team with the #1 overall pick at QB? With two first round WR's? There's only one football, you know. On a National Championship team with perhaps the toughest competition ever? No. You just look at some stats on a screen and think you see truth. You're wrong. I'm putting you on ignore. You're just not worth the effort. |

Compare what Watson did in college vs what Mahomes did stat wise. No reason to argue anything there. Too close to debate. Now look at what Taylor did vs CEH, go ahead. Not remotely close, all Taylor. |

Im happy with this draft. Your cuz told me to tell you less teeth more eye contact next time. PO |
Honestly guys watch THIS highlight package and tell me this kid isn't incredible???? He's got absolutely EVERYTHING a new age back needs. His agility and stop-start motion is on Barry Sanders/Marshall Faulk level and that is no exaggeration. His receiving skills are also up their with your Kamara's and Mccaffrey's!!!..I mean the kid was lining up out wide and in the slot, and was running REAL receiver routes for God sake :D . I've got a feeling he's gonna be very, very special for this team...maybe better than Kareem tbh.
|
JT is a better fit for the Colts. They run that down hill running scheme like Wisconsin. CEH is a better fit for us. He he starred in a much more versatile attack at LSU and is a tremendous route runner out of the backfield. The scheme fit cannot be overlooked.
