The Bills and Chiefs are the class of the AFC. They are more than an arms length away from the grasp of the next tier (Bengals/Ravens).

Man…for a conference and division that was supposed to be an absolute gauntlet, it really looks like absolute garbage besides 2 teams. There’s just a ton of poor coaching and bad football out there.

The Bills are hell of a football team that has drafted and developed as well as we have. They are literally right there with us which makes it fun as all hell.

But I hope we’re ready bc this one was marked on the calendar for Buffalo. They’ll want this one like we wanted it against Brady last week.

Gonna be a hell of a game

DRM08 10-10-2022 12:39 PM

Buffalo is definitely not overhyped. Their QB is incredible and their defense is pretty solid. Good coaches. "Overhyped" should only be used for teams like Chargers & Broncos.

They use their running backs like the Chiefs use theirs. Wouldn't matter, well it would take the ball out of Allen's hands so go for it!

Yup. Not taking anything away from him. Allen is easily the best qb not named mahomes. We can and should beat them but that’s because we’re the scariest team out there when clicking on all cylinders. Not because buffalo isn’t a terrific football team.

They’ve upgraded on their pass rush which is scary. But I tend to think where we set ourselves apart is we improved more on defense than they did. We may not notice those improvements as much next week. But we will in the playoffs after these young guys get a years work in them.

Yeah they're a really good team. Well coached, good drafts, v deep roster as evidenced by their secondary being wiped out and still performing well.

They do seem to have the occasional head-scratching defeat, but in that sense they're kinda like us as well.

I would say even if they beat us I wouldn't panic. We have an insane schedule and it's hard to keep that intensity week after week, and I still feel like the Bills can drop the odd clanger.

O.city 10-10-2022 02:39 PM

Everyone has that loss every year. It's the NFL. It's just hard to go a whole year without having a down week or two.

Maybe.

If the Chiefs end up losing @Buffalo in the playoffs and the game would have been at Arrowhead had they just beat the Bills in October... sure, that's big.

If they lose by 4 touchdowns next week though, I'm not going to lose sleep over it just in case that one specific scenario happens 3 months from now.

We really should consider resting Mahomes tonight after we get two quick TDs. All our energy needs to shift to Buffalo asap. Its the biggest game of the season.

The NFL is granting them a SB appearance, they gave them Carte Blanche to injure other teams players. That’s why the Saints won in 2009.

Well, except that they're your basic terrible.

Defensively they have been very nearly a dumpster fire, and their pass rush hasn't been great either, totaling just 5 sacks and only 15 TFLs for the season. For comparison, the Chiefs DL, who haven't yet found their comfort zone yet, have more than twice as many sacks (11) and more TFLs (17).

And then there's LVR's offense. Or lack thereof, to be more precise. They are middle-of-the-pack or worse rushing and passing in terms of total yards, they are among the league's worst in scoring efficiency, they get penalized quite a bit, and finally, they are led by Derek Carr.

This is only a big game in terms of the fact that KC needs to keep pace with BUF.

Isn't it nice to be on the other side?

For years, Chiefs fans demanded respect for being champions of September when they would beat the Patriots or start 3-0... and Patriots fans would rightfully so laugh at us.

And if this actually the Bills' year, finally... good for them, I guess. The Chiefs will be ready for the next round next season. Crowning them now is pretty amusing, or even saying next week's game is crazy important.

RealSNR 10-10-2022 04:06 PM

The only thing the Bills love more than thumping their chests after blowing out bad teams is losing to bad teams.

Has Mahomes ever lost to a less than 7-win team? Hell, I don't know if he's ever lost to a less than 8-win team.

Might have already happened a couple weeks ago with the Colts, although it required a 12-14 point swing for Colts on special teams.

The Raiders have scored 32, 14, and 9 points vs. KC over the last three meetings. I get that it's the NFL and 'any given Sunday,' etc., but at this point I'm just not buying the idea that LVR is very dangerous. Plus, the one area where you could expect them to exploit, our rushing defense has been spectacular this season, vs. teams that have significantly better rushing attacks, so . . . outside of an absolute meltdown by KC, I don't believe that LVR is going to do much of anything tonight.

It would take more than a few ST mistakes for KC to lose to a team that is pathetically bad.

I think the Colts are closer to average than terrible. Take away the Jaguars game (the Jaguars always dominate them) and there's nothing terribly unimpressive about what they've done. And they've had a number of key players injured.

It's not great for sure. The main issue is that their tackles are getting blown by more than ours, but instead of Mahomes under center, they've got a statue. I think they've had injuries there, right?

Or they might, the physical talent is still there, we just have to wait and see if the mental talent is there as well.

I’d say we are far enough along to make the determination that the Bills were not psychologically broken back in January. That’s a shame, because with their talent a mental toughness to go along with it makes them a scary team.

But, at the same time, a true contender and rival for our team to sharpen themselves against only makes our team better over the long haul. I just wish it wasn’t a team that, since childhood, I’ve always had a dislike to disdain for - unless it is the raiders - that would just be natural and strangely acceptable, and utterly disgusting. But that’s clearly not in the cards these days… so Buffalo it is.

Buffalo had their fair share of injury problems as well. Both teams screwed up multiple times when they had scoring chances in opponent territory, so you would have to say it was nowhere near the "A" game for either team on offense.

Long way to go until playoffs. Hopefully Chiefs can find a way to get sharper as the season goes along. Need to get lucky and dodge the injury bullets.

Their culture is too good

Good coach, players who don’t get too high or too low, and if all else fails an elite QB who is capable of bailing them out.

They were great when it mattered most (playoffs). They just got beat by Mahomes. If he had a merely good performance that divisional game, Bills walk away with the win

They aren’t the 1995 Raiders. They’ll be there in January

He is today. The NFL is a week-to-week deal. We'll see who's who in January.

There are too many hot takes

They both have 17TD, 4 INT this year

After 6 weeks. It’s going to be a fun year

Allen been better so far but Mahomes is right behind him. Both are on pace to make the All Pro team

Both are on pace to win MVP. Not that I care about that anymore, but it's Allen and Mahomes. No other QB is in the conversation.

Allen clearly is in front in that race after today. But I agree with your point. Maybe Hurts is in the conversation also.

Right. They are a good team.

Also 11-6 isn't a bad record by any means. Let's not forget of the record of the team that beat the 18-1 Patriots in the SB. Stupid to underestimate anyone.

scho63 10-17-2022 03:48 AM

They also have great coaching.

Chris Meck 10-17-2022 05:57 AM

They're real damned good.

We'll see them again in January.

What do you think Mahomes would have done vs the defensive personnel the Chiefs had on the field yesterday, with Diggs/Davis and a competent LT?

Lol they acting like it was the AFC Championship game yesterday

KChiefs1 10-17-2022 09:50 AM

It’s too bad they play the NFC North instead of the NFC East this season because I’d love to see them destroy the Eagles & Cowboys.

Pissed off Packers team at home after big emotional win
At 4-2 Jets who look good
Home baby 5-1 Vikings

Not an easy 3 games after us. We’ll see how they do

I don't see the point.

Basically I’m saying that if the QBs switched teams, I think Mahomes probably wins the game easily. Therefore, I don’t think Allen is the better QB.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-18-2022 09:58 PM

Fluke loss. Chiefs shit themselves

Maybe you should learn the definition of “overhyped.”

Hint: it doesn’t mean “unable to occasionally win a regular season game in Arrowhead.”

The Chiefs are the best team from the AFC the past 3-4 years. Bills have won twice in Arrowhead in a year and went toe to toe with said best team in the playoffs last year. They aren't overhyped they are a formidable opponent you are just a blind homer who can't be objective what so ever.
