Hunt may go off 2018 style for 150
|
You know it's all about the 3peat when they bring Kareem back.

Ummm, we totally do it on purpose because it furthers the narrative that the Chiefs are the unbeatable boogeyman. Blowing teams out can be written off to what’s expected, but these type of wins, combined with almost always capitalizing on a few timely and questionable penalties in our favor really sets the story. What the league sees now is that even when the Chiefs look their most vulnerable, we’re still inevitable. You can take us down to the wire and you will still lose every time. Andy and Pat are sewing doubt into the minds of every GM, coach, and player. When playoffs come around, we’ve beaten these teams before we even take the field. Any given Sunday doesn’t apply to this team. There are no fluke wins. There is no 19-1 Patriots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Got a feeling Hunt scores a TD this weekend.
|
Thomas Wolfe once said, “You can't go home again,” I hope Kareem puts that old book to rest and CEH out to pasture. I wish Clyde well but he needs to go.
|
Actually, if push came to shove would it be a bad look for Kareem to set off a string of black cats on Clyde's first day back to practice?
|
Good article on how the Chiefs have been a run-first team so far this season. Maybe this bodes well for Hunt's success in this offense versus how he performed last season in Cleveland.
Spoiler!

Even if he has lost a step, if he just has the ability to make a defender miss a tackle would go a long way. There have been so many times since he left that a huge run was just begging to be made, but losing the 1 on 1 in open field has been a ****ing given for our RBs.

Player has a right to play for pay with another team when the trouble the guy got into was not a big enough deal to keep him from earning an NFL salary. |
**** going around them he is going to hit stick people choo wooo

I'm getting ready to watch this guy tear shit up for us again, didn't think that was going to happen but he should help

Kareem is going to help make this OL better with his vision. This line has been opening up holes and over the last few years there have been at least 30 times I legit said “Kareem Hunt would have seen the cutback lane…KH would have had a 30 yard run on that play…”
Gonna be fun watching him work in space. Who was it that Kareem chip blocked that he just flat out destroyed? |
Kareem said he was playing injured all last season and had to have surgery in the offseason to clear it up. And yet the guy still had eleven total touchdowns. He missed time due to the suspension, plus shared carries with Chubb so he definitely doesn't have the same miles on his motor as other RB's his age. Mostert is 32 and got 18 TD's last season. He was a back who developed late so he too doesn't have that much mile's in his legs. I honestly think Kareem is gonna shock some folks with how well he does here.

We rule the land! Hunt on a mission to right the wrong.

6 carries for 22 yards.

Now, we know already that you're the type of guy that edits his madden players to 99 based on that ONE time they made a big play, but Kareem Hunt being on FA isn't some criminal slight. Unless you share a crazy ass viewpoint that Clyde Edwards Helaire was destined to become the next Priest Holmes. Lmao. The guy hasn't played a snap for KC in 6 years. Let's see what he puts on the field Sunday before we indict the entire league as dumbasses that were allowing gold jacket talent to sit on his couch in September. Hoping he plays well, but wouldn't be shocked if it's a wet fart. |

Listen. I love that 87 is on the KH hype train. But lets not pretend he wasn't washing Kadarius Toneys balls on how he looked, what he was doing " oh I can't believe the giants let him out of their building." We've heard this shit before, and the results were that we were sold a false bill of goods. So I'm happy that Kelce isn't deterred from supporting his teammates after that, but I'm not ready to buy in sight unseen. I'd love just as much as anyone to see Kareem Hunt ripping off multiple 50+ yard tds like he did playing with Alex Smith. Maybe it was Andy's scheme forcing so many light boxes. He's certainly going to get more of those. |
****ing doomers

"Buy in"? It costs nothing. Why purposely be miserable about this? |

I'd be shocked if he doesn't score 10 touchdowns tbh.

I'm simply saying I'm not going to be watching the game with any high expectations for Kareem Hunt, even despite the Travis Kelce hype. When 2017-2018 Hunt doesn't show up.and bust 50 yard runs, run over people, jump over people, and he puts up 3 yards and a wet fart, you got some folks here that have wanted this so badly for so long, they'll be on suicide watch. Rasputin believes the entire league is completely reeruned, how could they let us get Hunt back. Lmao. I'll settle for converting the dreaded 3rd and 1, and him not assaulting anyone before or after the games this season. That's a win. If all he does is reliably move the chains on 3rd and 1 the rest of the season, he'll have improved the offense immensely. |

14 carries, 69 yards, 4.9yds/carry.
He's back. |
Trade Clyde tomorrow!
|
Yeah.... yeah that'll play.
|
Kareem Hunt: Still good.
How the **** was he just sitting on his couch before we signed him? Thank you everybody else. |
Dude's still got some juice and we might need every last drop.
Permabench the white chocolate Butterfinger bar plz |

Looked great

I forgot how insane Kareem's balance is when he runs the ball. He's always getting hit, halfway falling down, sideways to the ground and still picks up another 3-5 yards.
|
Kareem never falls backwards.
Never. He has insane body control and balance. Man i missed watching him in a Chiefs uniform. |
14 for 69 was a pretty sizable workload. Glad to see the team turn to him to close the game out. Him and Pacheco are going to be lethal together.
|
RB1
|
Great game hunt. Andy owes you an apology for that Td to perineum.
Edit...lol what an auto correct for perine!!! |
Been a while since we had a RB with good vision on the team. Him jump cutting to where the hole was instead of running into someone's ass almost made me shed a tear.
|
Played great. Always positive yards.
Stay healthy Kareem |
Hunt looking pretty good despite inexplicably sitting out the first quarter in favor of Wish.com Mike Alstott.
I was a little disappointed the td went to Perine after Hunt did the heavy lifting on the drive and clearly wasn't fatigued after the "feed me" motions on his last play. |
He’s still got it.
Gonna make it a good problem to have once Pacheco comes back. |
Exactly! Hunt and CEH could not be further apart from each other. Hunt actually knows where the holes are. Hunt hasn’t missed a beat at all
|
He should just get better too as he gets into football shape. The dude wasn’t even at an nfl training camp this year.
I told you boys… he can still play and do what we need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I'll eat shit. Or crow. Or crow shit.
He's definitely not washed up. Faaaaar from it |

So anyway we can sign Hunt to a lifetime contract? We found our Thunder and lightning for years to come with Pacheco and Hunt
|
The real interesting thing will be if they can get him going in the passing game. He's always been an excellent pass catcher at RB.

I know Veach doesn't like giving contracts to 29-year-olds, but I think he should make an exception with Hunt. Dude still has it, and we need what he has for the foreseeable future. |

How many in this thread said he was washed???????
Dude looks exactly the same |
Kareem looks really good!
Hopefully they get Kareem & Perine more involved in the passing game. That could help Mahomes find more of a groove with easy throws into the flat. |
87 total yards is really damn good. Literally looked like he did his first 2 years with the Chiefs. Dude is older, but only had one season with over 200 carries. Averaged less than 150 carries a season, so he should be nice and rested.
|
Pete Sweeney, Jesse Newell and Sam McDowell hardest hit. They were shitting all over that signing.
|
Just keep CEH on IR
|
So happy to see Kareem back home where he belongs. Also, props on Clark for giving Hunt a second chance after he said he would never play here again. Shows tremendous growth on Clark
|
Hunt just jumped to the the top of the depth chart. When Pacheco comes back they can be an outstanding 1-2 punch. I still hope Steele can be a valuable piece, but Hunt is on another level. And he's likely to get better.
|
That was the highlight of the day.
Hunt is MAYBE a step or step and a half slower in terms of deep speed, but he still has good vision, balance, and burst - and those were the things that made him awesome to begin with. He looked good today and had more than enough burst to run outside zone. And he’s still a mother****er to tackle. I think he can still be really productive for KC and gives them a lot more as a complement to Pacheco than anyone else on the roster. |
Quote:
He could be 80% of his old self. Those holes have always been there in the middle up the gut. But Pop -CEH - ETC don’t have as good of vision |

May not have pops long speed but man he saw the hole well and hit it hard. Pop doesn't always see the hole but Hunt was doing a great job feeling the blocks and maximizing them. We may just have to hope we can keep winning ugly. It's the right year for it - lots of offenses are struggling. |

Are you ****ing deluded? He wouldn't even run the football with Jamaal Charles when we had Alex Smith throwing to Junior Hemingway and Anthony Fasano ffs. Ain't no God damn way in HELL Andy Reid goes predominantly ground game with these players. |

At least relative to the other Chiefs teams of the Mahomes era, it appears very possible if not likely they’re going to need to be more committed and reliant on running the football this year. It may be a better path toward a winning formula with what appears another top five defense. I think the offensive line has done a better job run blocking so far this year. They seem more aggressive. Probably because it seems the RPOs have dialed back, allowing them to really get after defenders more downfield. You mix and match Kareem, Pacheco, and a very small bit of Perine behind that when it’s cold AF in Kansas City this January? We can play ball. Whether we add another WR or not. |
