I think Hawksworth can hack it as a #5. But someone has to step up as a #4. The biggest problem right now is that we still have guaranteed outs at the bottom of the order.

I wouldn't mind seeing us sign Garrett Atkins to see if he can give us anything at third to spell Freese. We need another corner infielder. He's been horrible the last two years, but we seem to have luck with talented reclamation projects, and we have absolutely no pop outside of Joles, Holliday, Ludwick, and Rasmus.

As far as second basemen go, it would be nice to see us make a run at Dan Uggla. I don't think Florida is going to be able to keep him, and even though he's a mediocre defensive 2B, he has a tremendous bat, and would be an excellent addition in the #2 hole, even if he is due for some regression in his BABIP.

What do you think of John Jay?

I'd go for that as long as Shelby isn't part of the package but Tony still loves Shu

Jay is a quality player, but the power he's displayed so far is aberrational.

Funny how all those cocksucking, douchebag Dodger trolls are nowhere to be seen.

There's the bullpen we all know and hate.

Apparently too occupied by Miami and thoughts of blowing Kobe at the moment.

Nice to see Yadi pick it up tonight. It would be very helpful if he could get back to his usual hitting of the past two years.

Didn't like seeing Garcia knocked out so early though. Was it just the pitch count from laboring through the first few innings or was something more off?

Without Yadi, Freese, Ludwick and Garcia clicking we may not make the playoffs. We defintely won't go far in the playoffs if they are not clicking.

Strange thing is they had like 4 strikeouts total the last 2 games.

LMAO

No, just sick of watching these ****ers expand their strike zone.

Even Albert's been guilty of it this year.

None of the pitches in question in that inning were even tough pitches. Not like these guys were whiffing on nasty stuff. Just shit out of the zone - most of it way low.

I don't catch as many games as I used to, but it seems like they chase fewer pitches out of the zone against better pitchers, and chase more pitches against lessor guys.
