This is the type of fan I personally know.

Well if it is already an adversarial relationship. I could see that.

Hawks: Unless we get a 1st, we are not trading you.
Thomas: Cool, I'll go to FA then at the end of the season
Hawks: LOL Franchise baby
Thomas: Shit :#

I'll be honest shit like that is why players should fight for the end of the franchise tag in the new CBA.

What exactly is their asking price?

If you realistically look at where we'll be picking in the 1st and 2nd rounds, are you suggesting you wouldn't trade Dee Ford for him? Or Speaks and KPass?

This is the Chiefs we're talking about. You only bank when you have currency. More often then not, the Chiefs are banking Chucky Cheese tokens.

And then they're stuck in the Pittsburgh/Bell situation......except for the fact that Thomas has done a solid for his team by taking less money in his previous contract. Want to piss off your fans? **** over the guy that took less money so you could keep everyone else.

an extension he’d be happy with would probably mean not signing one of Hill, Jones, or Fuller. Hmmm not sure it would cost us all 3 guys.

I’m thinking Justin Houston is gone after 2019. $17.5 million saved for letting him go in the Spring of 2020.

:cuss: **** that. Mahomes needs to remain a Chief forever.

Mecca 09-25-2018 01:42 PM

Even the better picks would you trade Mitch Morse for him? How about Morse and Nelson...or Alex Smith?

**** the answer is always yes, nevermind this is more of a no brainer than I thought.

He's being reactionary, 40 mill of cap space next year and that's with Houston and Berry still on the roster.

Also Fuller and Jones are not and will probably never be the game changer Thomas is. I think some people have this really overblown view of what some of these players are.

That's so ****ing stupid. It will not cost any of those three. Want to keep all three of those AND trade/sign Thomas? Yeah...it can be done.

Seriously, the ONLY guy on that list that isn't replaceable is Hill. Chris Jones and Kendall Fuller are guys you can replace. That's stupid homer talk.

Making a lot of good points...

Mecca 09-25-2018 01:44 PM

If Kendall Fuller wants a similar contract to his brother he can eat my ass and leave. If Chris Jones thinks he should get like 30 mill guaranteed I'll wave bye.

3rd&Long 09-25-2018 01:44 PM

Look, everything is negotiable. If the braintrust at Arrowhead wants this guy, they can get him. Period. Depends on price? No period. Got it?

I've already said in this thread I'd give the 1st this year for him pending an extension.

TambaBerry 09-25-2018 01:45 PM

id be perfectly ok with not being able to resign Chris Jones
