It some cultures, it still is used....there is a difference between disciplining your child and deliberately causing lasting injury. I dont advocate using a belt...but if you consider it abuse then probably half of the kids from 1950-1980 were abused. Teachers could spank kids when I was in school...our principle had a paddle in his office...and every kid knew about it. |
