You just have to let these young guys play! Massey and Pratto are athletes, period! I hope they stick with Eaton in the outfield or 3rd as he is an athlete too. We need ballplayers who know how to win and we have some here already.....just have to play them!

And Singer is butt.

Eaton is utility backup I'd think...

Personally I think Nick Loftin is the 3rd baseman before this year is over.

Garcia delivers. Great AB.

Nick Loftin's power profile at AAA is nice and has been improving. It's weird, because when they drafted him I and most others saw them aiming for a do-everything, versatile fielder, high-average, line-drive hitter (Whit Merrifield, Michael Young, D.J. LeMahieu).

And he's really profiling more like a traditional corner bat (.250-260 BA, .350ish OBP, .500 SLG).

If Massey continues to hit, and Garcia sticks, I'm not sure that Loftin has a spot on the IF... but if he succeeds you'd have a pretty great young corps of hitters to build from:

SS: Witt
2B: Massey
3B/SS/2B: Garcia
3B/2B/CF/OF: Loftin

Considering the lack of OF we have if Garcia sticks then Loftin can go out there or just see starting ABs as a super utility.

Wish could Massey could've scored a runner from 3B with one out

Sassy Squatch 05-11-2023 02:24 PM

Thank God there's finally SOMETHING to feel positive aboutm

Prison Bitch 05-11-2023 02:32 PM

Schitt Jr = out machine

Dude has elite speed (some metrics say fastest sprint speed in baseball) and he’s hitting .228 with that. Guys like Dyson and Billy Hamilton were .260 hitters as regulars. I guess they made more consistent contact, SMH

Yeah, I'd like to see Loftin this year!

If the offense holds up the rest of the year, then I'd like to see a couple of moves in the off-season to bring in some quality pitchers. Next year could really be exciting.

Bradley can't hit a lick but damn he has a glove

ChiefsCountry 05-11-2023 03:09 PM

tk13 05-11-2023 03:31 PM
