I have no dog in this fight.........Yes, Alex Smith guy, but I wasn't on the Geno Smith bashing train....
Geno Smith is a guy that a lot of people that are backpedaling right now wanted in the first round, and 1.1 You are the same guys that have been killing Eric Fisher for not looking like a stud immediately, yet, you guys are making a mockery of people who then were telling you that Geno Smith wasn't a good qb by making comparisons to Alex Smith, and to Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez and Alex Smith are both game managers yes. But, Andrew Luck, RG3, even Russell Wilson, didn't look as bad as Geno Smith has looked in this preseason. The lesson here is when you blow your horn and pound your chest because you know more than other people, when that blows up in your face, be prepared to bathe in your own shit because you begged for it. And hell, if Alex Smith crashes and burns, ill be bathing in my own shit as well. It sucks, but own it. |
Poor Geno. I just ****ing knew those NY Jets were gonna be a trainwreck and bring Geno down with them, whether he has potential at all or not. If he does, looks like it's gonna take some time...

Also, for all of you guys making excuses for Geno, make sure you don't rip people for making excuses for Alex because it's the same ****ing thing. |

people don't want to hear it, but Aaron Rodgers is pretty mentally weak, or was, especially at first. He didn't take too well to interviews in Green Bay his first few seasons. Especially when people started questioning his toughness when he ended up on the IR his first two seasons. |
Is it possible for your ignore list to exceed capacity?

'Game Manager' became the TV tag that guys like Ryan and Pioli put on their shitty quarterbacks. It was a more television friendly way of saying 'shitty quarterback'. It was also wildly inaccurate and it's unfairly turned that term into a pejorative. Matt Schaub, Sam Bradford, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith - those guys are game managers. Those players make their teams exactly as good as they are. It's not a bad thing, it's just not a great thing to be. There are gunslingers like Cutler and Romo - guys that can make their teams better some weeks, worse others. Then there legitimately great QBs that just make their teams better every week. The Schaub/Bradford/Dalton/Smith class isn't inferior to the Romo/Cutler class, it's just much different. Alex Smith is a very good game manager. You'll win a lot of games with guys like that. |

He never wins the big games ever either. |

I'll take that kind of suck every time. People are just insane when it comes to QBs. Matt Ryan was a choking bitch that the Falcons shouldn't re-sign...until he wasn't anymore. Joe Flacco was considered an underachiever and a mediocre first round pick for years...until he won a couple playoff games. People use the rear-view mirror almost exclusively when evaluating NFL Quarterbacks. It's really quite foolish. Matt Schaub is a good NFL quarterback that does have the tools to win a championship. He beat a solid Cincinnati team in the first round last year then lost to a clicking Patriots offense despite scoring 28 points because he had the audacity to throw for only 340 yards and 2 TDs. |
