Given his contract and his productivity over the last three seasons, that would have been better.

Not that I’m against the Peters trade if the compensation is good. I like the idea of them blowing it up and starting a youth movement along with Mahomes. Peters was young enough but he could potentially bring several pieces for a (forgetting Reid is our coach for the moment) contending in 2020 or so window.
