Was running late last night.... I had an appraisal an hour away, but the time I got back close to the house, I had only an hour to workout. I worked out in cargo shorts, hiking boots, and a polo shirt...... The boots kicked my butt on pull ups.
It was the first time I have worked out in months without a pre workout drink. I am getting close to the end of the stuff I have and I am going to quit taking anything for a month. At the end of that month, I am probably going to start on Muscletech NaNo Vapor.... but I am still looking around. The stuff tastes horrible, but I did have a good workout when I sampled it. I haven't worn my polo shirts since last summer..... it is a funny feeling to have my arms fill out the sleeves. A great feeling, just not one I am used to. I am about to leave on vacation tomorrow morning. I am down 25lbs. I have a gym lined up. I should be able to drop a few more lbs there. I always eat less on vacation, and I can spend more time in the gym what with not having to work and stuff. It would be cool if I can get below 175 while I am on vacation. I am at 176.5 right now. Two lbs in a week is nothing. |
Im thinking of purchasing Magnesium citrate.
Ive been on this high protein, low carb diet for 2 weeks now and just feel that I ain't doing enough of #2. I think that is the problem w/ going low carb. Not enough fibre, you get constipated to the point where you have a build up of feces in the bowels. I think these diets are very effective in terms of weight loss, but I guess there is a con side to it which im experiencing right now. Don't me wrong, Im eating my greens, getting some broccolli, apples, and green tea in my diet, but still ain't going as much. I need a laxative. I think doing #2 really counts not only to clean out your colon but to also experience more weight loss, better digestion, and for blood purification purposes as well. |

But I think it all depends on how one structures their diet. Of course there are foods that one can substitute such as nuts like you're suggesting that has some solid fibre content but no carbs. I don't have that in my diet. I am considering it though. thanks for the suggestion. I think it depends on what type of foods eaten to go along with portion servings that play a determining factor/role in how many grams of fibre one consumes per day. Im probably slighly under the RDA for both men and women when it comes to fibre consumption per day. Im eating somewhere around 20-25 grams of fibre per day. Which i don't think is enough since Im eating six meals a day, and my body seems like it is demanding more of it. Mind you, my protein intake is pretty high and I think that is why Im having a difficult time going to the washroom. My body is not getting enough assistance or help to breakdown and digest the protein. Most of my caloric consumption comes in the form of Proteins and fats. Protein is by far the hardest nutrient for the body to digest, I can see why Im having a difficult time going to the bathroom since I have a greater Protein to carb ratio. |

Yeah, I'm just saying that green veggies have really low calorie content, and high fiber, so you can up the ratio of green veggies to proteins in your diet, still be low carb and get more fiber.

Next week is the last week of my cumulative fatigue phase. Thank god. Working with light weights sucks and is embarrassing.

Flopnuts, found something you might be interested in training for. http://www.warriordash.com/
The Northwest region race is 7-10-10. I'm think I'm going to start training for the Rockies one...maybe I can get Rain Man to run with me. |

Well, I've taken it easy this week. Big time. I've lifted my 2 days and will wrap that up tomorrow. I've done the bare minimum for running training. I'm really focused on my nutrition this week.
I have to assume that some of the weight from my weigh in on Monday was water weight. I'm down over 5lbs in 3 days. Now, I've been eating very little, but there isn't enough exercise to justify that kind of weight loss unless I'm dropping water weight. Not that I really give a shit. I just like what I see. :D |

It's just a 3-4 mile race with obsticals you have to get through. Stuff like cargo net climb and mud crawl under barbed wire. I'm in horrible shape right now and would be kind of afraid of the wall climb and all the crawling, but on the FAQ section they had this I’m not in good shape. Can I do this? Finishing Warrior Dash is more about mental toughness than being in great shape. At the worst, I will be in one of these races next year. |

Skipping meals is not only unhealthy, but you’ll also often ingest more when you eventually do eat because you’ve been starving yourself all day. Besides, scads of studies prove that people who eat a wholesome breakfast and small meals throughout the day weigh less than those who buy into this diet myth and skip meals and eat fewer times throughout the day. The reason? Inconsistent eating makes it hard for your body to regulate its metabolism. By going hungry, you’re making your body believe that it’s time to enter starvation mode, and it does this by conserving calories and storing any extra calories as fat. Even if you aren’t giving it any more of either, it’s going to store what it currently has and not burn the extra you want burned during the day. |
