Bull shit.

It doesn't look like teams past. It's a staggery, peaky, streaky offense that never seems to really hit it's stride. It doesn't seem to run well. It has a street ball, free for all type of feel that lacks the higher level synergy and cohesiveness that other Self teams have had in the past.

Just my two cents.

What on earth are you watching? KU ran the weave for about three minutes in the last part of the game to run down the clock. The rest of the time, this team is penetrating, dishing, moving the ball around the perimeter, finding the open man, and then the open man is making the extra pass for the even more open shot.

This offense is one of the best in the nation, and is predicated on having 7/9 guys in the rotation that can create their own shot. The high screen game is working to perfection with Graham, Mason, Selden, Greene, Svi, and Ellis all able to punish defenders for going either over or under screens.

It's borderline indefensible.

It's not streetball. Street ball is clearing out and letting the ball handler go 1-1. There's no cohesion or ball movement, and certainly no unselfishness, which are the tentpoles upon which this offense is resting.

This team is assisting on shots and not turning the ball over.

KU is 16th in the nation in assists and 19th in AST/TO ratio.

They are 3rd in 3 pt percentage.

You don't get to ANY of those by playing street ball.

This team sucks other than Ellis.

Self has apparently stopped recruiting basketball players and has decided to go with the sloppy athlete route of recruiting.

This team could use a massive infusion of Jacque Vaughn and Raef LaFrentz.

Personally, I think Self sucks. Should have hired Mark Turgeon.

This is one our least athletic teams under Self and more skilled. Thus far it's shaping up much like 2011.

Man. That's just a bad take then. This is a really good offensive team. It lacks an elite back to the basket big man, but that does not mean the team is offensively limited. You need to watch the games from the 10 season with TRob and Taylor. That offense consisted of TRob scoring on double teams and Taylor blowing by fools for a score or dish to Withey, TRob or Reed in the Corner.

I've seen all the seasons.
