It's been that way for years. Not just this season or the last few weeks. People are complaining about blowouts this year but we haven't had many under Reid/Mahomes. All they do is win games. Mostly close games. This season has been a more extreme example I admit, because they've been cutting it too close on many of these. But the pattern is similar as other years. It's just getting more attention now than before.

Good take. And.... people are looking for ways to denigrate and tear the Chiefs down this year more than ever.
It's no different than when New England in their prime would have one bad game and some people would pronounce them D.O.A. for the playoffs, in which case it was only true in 2019 when the dam finally broke on Brady/Belichick.
I remember thinking after the Miami Miracle in 2018, plus losing another game to Pittsburgh the following week, that they weren't a Super Bowl caliber team. But that was just wishful thinking because I wanted the Chiefs to win and was tired of NE. Then the playoffs began and they were like a different football team again.
The same is repeating now with Kansas City where haters are going to find any little reason they can to believe they aren't going to win it all again. Year after year. Some years they'll be happy, some years they won't. Either way, they got a shot every year as long as Pat is here and it doesn't really matter how the games look until the playoffs start.
