Exactly.

Adam Jones had a bad series. And the guy who REALLY killed them was Steve Pearce. That guy stranded the population of Papua New Guinea in that series.

If the Royals had lost this series, it would have been on Cain/Hosmer/Moustakas for not performing (and still might).

They'll get McHugh again on Wednesday, and I think KC beats the shit out of him. I imagine Houston will also be willing to go to Keuchel for 3-4 innings, but hopefully KC can jump to a big lead early and not let Keuchel be the deciding factor.

And if he is? Well, goddamn. Bully for him.

I really feel like our guys grew up a lot in this series. Even though they struggled against Kuechel - they pushed him to 130 pitches in what 7 innings? When have we EVER done that? It seemed like they were much more selective, every AB was a "professional at bat".

And they continued that today - it just took until the 8th inning for the floodgates to finally open. Even Moose's strikeout was an incredibly tough AB. If they keep that same focus Wednesday I think they romp.

Imagine how good we can be with a little more plate discipline? Even Salvy has looked much better this offseason. I think we're a much better team right now than last year at this time - when let's be honest, pretty much everything went our way until the WS.

the Gore call was embarrassingly bad ... how in the world can they overturn that?

and they really need to make a rule against the defender being able to force a base runner off the base like that ...

Exactly. He popped up quickly to avoid landing on the defender's arm and because he already slid into the guy's leg. The play should basically be dead once the runner touches the base safely and the defender has the ball but is continuing being over the bag. It's essentially the defender forcing the runner off by holding a tag and it's happened more than once this year.

Watching the last two innings again, still all good.

Yeah basically instant replay demands zero margin for error on the base runner, whereas umps aren't going to see or call a fielder's nudging the runner off the base unless it's blatantly obvious. The scales are really tipped to the fielder right now.

And even then - I saw nothing but wrist hit Gore's butt.

GloryDayz 10-12-2015 09:05 PM

Great lesson got Gore, next time the asshole puts his foot on that side of the bag, do your thing...

okcchief 10-12-2015 09:07 PM

I pretty much conceded to an Astros fan I worked with. I felt no resentment I just felt like they beat us. Then the tide turned.

On the Madson thing. I'm good with Madson I'm just personally more comfortable with Herrera for some reason. It's not a big gap. Obviously, Wade Davis is the only one that truly puts me at ease these days.

O's fans are so bitter they riot at a drop of a hat. Whoop too soon?

I agree. I've seen it a few times this year where it's bothered me before today.

Gloating (WE'RE GOING TO THE ALCS. CRUSH CITY. BLAH BLAH) and offering to fight a fan wednesday in KC. Clearly he's been nothing but respectful.

I think they thought after so many years of taking a back seat to the Yanks, Red Sox and even Rays - that last year was finally their year. They had just won with a bunch of dramatic comebacks vs. Detroit's LOLpen, had home field in a best of 7 and clearly thought they had the best team. They never counted on the Royals pushing their shit in.

Apparently people from Baltimore don't respond well to Surprise Buttsecks.
