The best thing you can do when I get like this (and for some reason I only get like this online - I think there's some guilt complex involved with my computer) is just to ignore me. If it bothers you. It's kind of fun for me in a way you might not understand. I'm just used to saying stuff like that online. It's what I do. It's what I've always done. Manage to catch me away from a computer and it's another story.

And you wouldn't recognize me now if that picture was your only frame of reference. I'm about 40 pounds lighter and have lost virtually all that hair (lost as in cut off, not going bald). Although I guess the beard is all you can see there; I had a ponytail running halfway down my back back then, too.

All-in-all, I really don't consider myself very good-looking, but I don't think that's all that important, either. It doesn't have any impact on any of the important stuff, like my work. I may not be much to look at, but I am pretty smart when I want to be.

There's nothing I need to help myself with. I'm fine. That's apparently what I'm not getting across. I have this nutcase persona I adapt online. But I'm not the same way if you speak to me in person. Although none of you get to speak to me in person, so you'd have absolutely no way of knowing that. Kind of a catch-22.

Dude, I recently started writing a book... I recommend you get back to jotting your ideas down... I think you would probably be most happy when working on something you love.
