The thing is the fan base better be patient - our top prospects are high school kids dont expect the Evan Longoria or Ryan Bruan types right now.
|
If we're lucky we'll see Hosmer or Melville in 2011, if they move really quickly through the system.
Edit: Very end of 2011. 2012 more likely. |
Did Aaron Crow have eligibility left? I learned last night that for players who have exhausted ALL of their college eligibility, the 8/15 deadline does not apply.

This is exactly the reason why Cardinals fans will always be superior to Royals fans. |

Royals spent over $11 mill on the draft, which appears to be the highest amount spent by any team this year.
Glass is so cheap. |
Excited to see Melville and Hosmer in the fold. Best high school pitcher and best high school hitter in the draft. Best power arm; best power bat.
I love the pitching depth that's being built in the system; tons of good young arms. Saves you from being up the creek if a few (as is inevitable) don't pan out, and also gives you trading options if more than expected DO pan out. I think they're in position to compete for a wild card with a few more pieces (another RBI guy, a shortstop - assuming Aviles moves to 2B) by 2010 as long as either Butler or Gordon start living up to their potential... |
Royals fans, do baseball a favor and just shut up. You shitheads know nothing about baseball.
Let the Cardinals fans do the talking and stay the hell out of our way. |
YEAH THE CARDS ARE SOOO GREAT THIS YEAR AREN'T THEY. WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!!

You loves you some Glass. Some strange sports equivalent to battered-woman syndrome. The team with the third worst record spent the most? Unbelievable. Who would think that this would stand to reason? The only people surprised are those in TB and Pitts. Royals fans rejoice! The team is finally doing things like...get ready for this...a REAL organization! Many thanks to David Glass, KC's most wonderful philanthropist! We should all forget about the period from '93-'05. These years didn't really happen. Really. Trust me. Glass is great. |
