I personally like what I've seen from him so far. and I hope he continues to get better. I'm not sure if Stafford is coming out anyway, and if he can BECOME our QB of the future it really helps this team move along the process. I know we all hope Herm is gone, but I really think he will be here next year at least because this team is starting to turn a corner. Granted they are still losing, but they are starting to look better all the way around. Injuries are killing them now though.

He let his defense do their work and they were fortunate enough to have an incredible running game with a possible future hall of famer in Jerome Bettis.

Tyler Thigpen has not LOST these last 2 games for us. I would put that on the defense. Hes doing what anyone would expect a QB with 3 games under his belt would do. Hes learning and growing, and if he can work on his accuracy issues and staying calm under pressure he has a lot of potential.

24 pts on the road and 27 points at home - should be good enough to win. Thiggy's done his part and he's still real raw - he'll only improve. This _efense is humiliating. 339 yards passing to a dink offense? Ouch.

I think Thigpen is highly entertaining. He completely powned Rhonde Barber by selling that fake when he lined up at WR. LOL! Teams will have to respect him now if splits wide again.

And this Mark Bradley guy seems like a strong #2 to D-Bowe.

hey, kind of reminds me of Devard Darling...you know that guy that wears 81 on our team, that was supposedly going to do big things for us this year. Also the guy that got his starting position taken over by a guy that has been with us for 3 weeks, and was a 1st rnd bust from a few years ago, named Mark Bradley. Yeah I must say, Claythan does indeed have an eye for talent....god job  ....go Larry Johnson and Damon Huard!! whoop whoop

Bradley was a 2nd round "bust" and I said I thought we acquired a steal...I live in Illinois so I catch a lot of Bears game and he was always impressive when he saw playing time...they just gave up on him because of injuries.

Taking a chance on a guy with loads of potential for a minimum salary is ok with me...I always liked Bradley, I listen to a lot of sports radio and he's always had a good head on his shoulders...his father is very involved with his career which, according to Whitlock, is a good thing for a young, talented black athlete.

The Bears valued him more than Berrian at one point...Berrian only saw the field because of injuries to Bradley (they played the same position) and Berrian is pretty damn good.

No kidding. Countless times I have seen Clayton "i'm a virgin" Wendler talk up players in training camp for them to do jack shit. Him blasting a player is the best thing that could ever happen.

On a more serious note, I like what I am seeing from Thigpen. I'm not even close to proclaiming him the QBOTF but he is playing like a veteran at times. Clayton said his accuracy sucks but that really isn't the case. The only time his accuracy sucks is when he is throwing off of his back foot. He has been pretty accurate when he is either on the run or standing in the pocket and stepping into the throw. If he can learn to feel the pressure better and be more comfortable the accuracy will improve. He's a little on the shortside but is listed at 225 which is very solid for his height and we have seen he can take a hit. Probably one of the most impressive things I saw out of him today was when he was scrambling and I thought he was going to throw the ball but he instead just pump faked it and ran for 2 yards. The 2 yards isn't impressive but the fact that he made a smart decision to keep the ball instead of making stupid throw is impressive. I think his stats would have been alot better had Gonzalez not dropped a sure touchdown pass and if Bowe had not dropped that 3rd down conversion. Sure he also had a couple of near interceptions but I am expecting his accuracy and decision making to improve as he grows more comfortable and as the game "slows down" as football players and coaches put it. Either defenses start to figure him out and he reaches his peak very soon or he continues to impress and gets better throughout the season. I'm impressed so far and I like what I see. I have no expectations so every game he does good I am pleasantly surprised. If he starts sucking again I really won't be too dissapointed because I didn't expect much in the first place.

Countless? Please. Name one guy OTHER than Devard Darling.

Yep, hopefully Will Franklin can develop into a solid #3. He hasn't done much yet but that doesn't bug me. The #3 receiver in this offense is probably the #5 option in the passing game behind Bowe, Bradley, Gonzalez, and the runningback. Kind of hard to get to yor 5th progression with only 3 seconds max to throw the ball.
