so if he's cut in 2 years he earns about 28 million right? why would he essentially be guaranteed 3 years?

I was the first in this thread to link the idea of cutting him to his contract.

Why would i bet with you? He could play all world and you would still bitch. Remember he will only be a success here with multiple playoff wins, which by the way changed from multiple SB wins, in your opinion.

An Edwards/Bowe tandem would have looked good and would have made it one less thing the Chiefs would have to focus on this offseason.

Apparently the Chiefs are only interested in shopping in the "Toomer/Lelie/Bobby Wade" aisle. I think that is where the decaying meat is also located.

IF we cut him after the 2010 season, he'd get the $28M, plus what he already earned in base salary for each of the 2 seasons, plus any roster bonuses or incentives placed in the deal.

Which totals more than $28M.
