Nothing standing in his way of participating in training camp tomorrow. From what I understand Haley had them in full pads today.

This has been the best day for me in over a year.

Not only has Berry signed, but all picks are in for the start of training camp.

And on the same day I was going forth with my plans to move back to KC because of the job situation here in Tampa, I scored 3 interviews in one day.

Passed all three of them and have second interviews with each one starting on Monday. Two companies are offering better wages and benefits than I had at my previous job! I'm stoked! The Berry signing is just icing on the cake for me.

Possibilities seem real and golden for me now. A great day! :thumb:

On Friday evening, here's what Todd Haley said when asked about Eric Berry.
"I don't know that that's even a fact. I haven't talked to anybody other than [Chiefs PR] since I came off the field so I don't that anything is done, not done, signed, not signed. As soon as something like that is up, somebody will make an announcement."
Well, later on Friday night, the Chiefs have made that announcement and it's official: Eric Berry has put pen-to-paper on his contract.
No financial terms have been released but the number floating around is six-years, $60 million with $34 million guaranteed.
Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers told us after practice this afternoon that he had been talking to Berry throughout this process and he's ready to get on the field tomorrow.

carl>pioli (OR) carl=pioli (depending on how you measure it)...

sure, pioli won a few championships in new england. carl won in the USFL. neither means shit to me as a chiefs fan. (the second scenario)

carl won a few playoff games in KC (thanks to montana). pioli hasn't. (the first scenario)

as such, pioli is still an unmeasured and thus mysterious commodity. the easy to way to become pioli>carl is by getting a goddamned trophy that has either our owner's name or, better yet, vince lombardi's name on it.

$34m guaranteed? He's officially the highest paid safety ever and he hasn't played one game yet. That's a lot of scratch for a safety, let alone a rookie safety...

I agree. I don't know why we didn't get a superbowl last year.
