The only problem I have with Pioli is Haley, he obviously didn't get to know who Haley really was, and didn't see that they'd never get along. It's a big problem, but it's the only one I have.

The fact that they would even consider the SOB has to be just one more insult to Otis Taylor. He should be in the HOF and his number 89 should never have been worn by the likes of Andre Rison.

Yeah, I don't back Cassel, or didn't you get that before. I gave up on Cassel a while back. The best you're going to get out of him over a season is slightly better than average (if he plays against a weak schedule), and that's not good enough to win championships. My point is that me wanting to get a different QB is not going to change the apparent reality that we're NOT going to get a new QB. So I've essentially got no choice but to focus on other things, because me posting on here repeatedly post after post that we must trade up and draft RG3 is not going to make that a reality.

If the owner would like to go out and hire someone who is going to bring us that championship QB, then great...

On the Josh McDaniels front, the Rams have not received a request at this point from New England to speak with him about their now-vacant offensive coordinator's job, nor have the Rams released McDaniels from his Rams contract at this point.

This whole thing is confusing. I don't think anyone really knows what Pioli is doing.

Rams have told Josh McDaniels they won't hold him to his contract. If he wants to leave, they'll let him.

That isn't new info.

Demoff said that during his press conference after Spags and Devaney were fired.

Well I take back my last post then. You're not a real fan, just like 99 percent of the rest of these guys.

1- Cassel

2- Using a 3 (of 1st) on T-Jax.

Bigger problems than his hiring Haley.

Big yes on Cassel.

I think you're exaggerating on the T-Jax pick. In hindsight, it wasn't a horrible pick, especially when you look at all the fail in the top 10 (including Sanchez). That class might very well have been one of the worst draft classes in recent memory.

O.city 01-06-2012 03:59 PM

So if we bring back Cassel and he brings in McD and the Chiefs win 8 or less games next year, is Pioli fired?

Yeah, taking Jackson at 3 is too high, but I don't have a problem with the player. And to be fair there were a lot of misses in that 1st round. It could be worse, we could have taken Curry.

Cassel is not great, but I don't have a problem with him. We gave up a second rounder for a average starting QB. He's not going to win you games on his own, and the Chiefs have had a whole bunch of QBs just like him, but the Chiefs had NOBODY at the start of 2009. He's equal to or better than Mark Sanchez, so I'm glad we didn't go that route. Maybe I'm being to easy on Pioli saying we could have done worse, but it's true.

O.city 01-06-2012 04:18 PM

If Piolis plan was bring in Cassel as a leader and spot holder until the roster gets built up, thats fine.

Just don't understand why he paid him that much.

Also if thats the case, go get your qb now then.

For some reason I don't think this was the case however.

I'm pissed about the QB decision. Not because of the Matt Cassel decision, but their arrogance to think he was so good that they didn't need to bring in competition.

Pioli should have known Cassel was a very rough work in progress. And that being said, should have made a significant effort to bring in a young QB to legitimately compete. He waited 3 years to do that, and even then, waited until the 5th round.
