1.) Implied King had some actual inside knowledge.

2.) Impled that perhaps McDaniel was wavering on signing a deal with New England because he was in negotiations with KC or hoping to be in them soon.

3.) Implied that McDaniels really wanted to go to KC, with the obvious inference being that he might he HC now or very soon, further implying a lack of support/interest in the Chiefs organization regarding Crennel.

When, in reality, it amounted to King flinging shit at the wall and hoping it stuck.

If he'd simply said, "McDaniels hasn't signed anything yet," and left it at that, his reporting would have been accurate. By throwing in the "really wants to go to KC" bullshit, King showed he's a ****ing tool. He should stick to talking about Starbucks, and his daughter's soccer-playing.
