What would y'all do?

I coached little league baseball for 10 years. I've been called all kinds of names by upset parents. Too many emails letting me know their son is not being given enough respect by hitting higher in the order, needs more playing time etc. There are too many parents living their unfulfilled childhood dreams through their kids or think their kid is the next Pujols.

Competitive or recreational, it happened at both levels. If you can't handle that, or you don't need that shit in your life then don't coach. Because its going to happen.

I'm sure tooge is just unwinding from a weird event with some stiff drinks, but i expect better from him, he's usually much better.

Sounds like the guy needed straightening out, so I don't see any real problem here, if he was in your face the way you claim. At that point, it's self defense whether he swings first or not. Never admit to potentially criminal behavior in writing, though, even if you might have a defense to it.

Thanks bro. Truth is, life happens in real time, and if I could do it again, I'd have simply told him he ought to just leave the park. Hindsight is wonderful. Life lesson learned.
