However, we've already established that we can man up and admit a mistake.

I wanna know if all the balls-deep people on here are going to return the favor if they tank next season or if this is how football discussion on CP is going to be from now on.

Just seems kin of pointless to deem said season a failure this soon is all.

And if you're talking about who I imagine you are, no they'll never admit they were wrong because that's admitting the chiefs were wrong

a) we didn't have the money, even if we redid a few guys deals.

b) most people these days are savvy enough to understand that that's not the way to remain relevant.

Most seem only to have wanted 2 players, and atleast in my mind, they didn't have to be marquee guys, just solid, youngish vets who could step right in, produce and give us so many more options in the draft.

2 legit starters, one for each side of the ball... I just don't see how that's asking too much.

Asking them to do anything other than exactly what they're doing is asking too much.

If that's nothing I can't imagine what the Chiefs are currently doing.

Excuse me, 2012. They spent a bunch of money on Flynn, then basically got rid of him.

I haven't deemed it a failure. I'm asking if we're going to have to endure another offseason of this garbage if it is. That's exactly what I want to know.

You are going nuts about filling the current holes with draft picks and yet you want to scrap all the experience on the team for one ****ing free safety?

Really?

lol would you seriously take Mays, Walker, Devito, Fasano, and Avery over Jarius Byrd?

You need to rewatch our playoff game against Indy 1,000 more times as punishment.

Don't those people want them to tank? They are playing both sides

if the Chiefs win and still make the playoffs while in the "rebuild/transition" year then those people win with an easy "I told you so/suck it/eat crow"

if the Chiefs lose and have a horrible season those people can still use their excuses of "comp picks in '15/we're rebuilding/it's okay guys" flip.

They can't lose no matter what the Chiefs do

No, I consider this and last season a success based on how our draft picks and scrap guys play.

It's gonna be glorious when they draft a guard and you applaud it as a great move...

see that's my point. He can't lose

if they draft a WR Sac looks like a genius because that's what he wants

if they draft an OL, then Sac still looks like a genius because he loves lineman.

I am saying if we have a good draft this year and some of last year's picks start contributing, then we are on a good track.

and if that doesn't happen? Since we haven't really had any draft picks contribute since 2008 that arent named Berry, Poe or Houston.

Then we have the wrong GM. I've long said that I think this 2014 approach is a proven winning approach but only if you draft well.

did Pioli draft in 2013? Because I remember the 2013 season having jack shit for draft picks that did anything.
