Cooper, as a 7th round pick who was cut, performed better than nearly every rookie CB in 2013.

Milliner was horse piss the vast majority of the season. He would have been benched permanently for the season if it weren't for his draft status.

Hayden was terrible.

Trufant was ok.

Ryan was also pretty good in his limited role in NE where he spent time at S and replacing any injured CBs (Talib or Dennard). He was very productive in that role (15 Pdefs. 5 INTs).

There is no other rookie CB that even comes close.

Why didnt they try to trade him then?

Flowers proved year after year that his stature would not allow him to play man against the NFLs better receivers. It was time, especially considering the money.

KC's defensive problems lay not with an undersized corner playing in a system that isn't suited to his skill and stature, but with terrible safeties and a non-existent pass rush.
