for ****'s sake

:thumb: Yep thanks to Bob Gretz giving the absolute worst HOF induction speech ever-DT has been branded a bust in coverage and run support-and cost him a few years to get in.

Thanks Bob- you dumbass!!

Deion Sanders wasn't good at tackling. He's terrible!

DT wasn't paid to stop the run or cover the pass ... he was paid to make it hell for that QB and to make that QB hear footsteps all game long.

It's amazing that we have Chiefs fans who are calling him "overrated."

what the **** ever

oh yeah, these are the same guys who called Tony Gonzalez overrated and called the tight end a "luxury" position not a necessity and were trying to trade the ****ing guy for 5 straight years

I forgot.

when we get the occasional hall of famer instead of celebrating him we point out all of his flaws (not sure what Tony G's flaw was ...?) and eagerly await for them to no longer be Chiefs so we can talk about how overrated they were and how they can go **** themselves

That's all well and good. But it's inaccurate to call him a complete linebacker.

I never called him that, and I don't really even know what that means.

I don't think the game plan for Derrick Thomas was ever to do anything other than go balls to the wall to sack that QB. I'm pretty sure the defense was built around him not covering the flats and not stopping the run. They built an entire defense around him so that he could rape QB's faces and our defense, for the most part, was truly elite in the 90s with Derrick Thomas.

and I realize you're not bashing the guy, I really do ... but it's amazing how this board treats Chiefs greats from the past.

People still want Tony Gonzalez to go **** himself. Amazing.

Gonzalez was not, in any way, "overrated". He had excellent hands, was a great blocker and redefined the position.

Any talk of him him being overrated is silly.

yeah, hand them a million dollars and suddenly that makes up for 18 years of little to no education

sheer brilliance, on this board

"if they ever gave me a million dollars I wouldn't squander it on jewelry and cars and women!"

well yeah, because you were brought up in a two parent household where values were instilled and education was a priority

I'm sure you really relate to most of these guys.

Hah. What in the actual ****?

Am I the only person that's a bit shocked to see Hootie, of all people, championing inner city black people???

He's one of the best pass rushers in the history of the l3ague. Not just the chiefs, but the nfl.

He had his faults no doubt though

I have always thought it was ridiculous that educated, middle class white men compare themselves and their situations to guys like Dez Bryant and can't understand why Dez acts the way Dez acts.

Kevin Greene is #3 and can't seem to get into the HOF. I think it's because he bounced around the league for so long and therefore, doesn't have a media member and HOF voting member pleading his case each year.

But regardless of why, it's a shame, IMO.

I think the whole system of voting is flawed, but that's a whole other argument.
