I've seen one on the ground, heard one, and driven right under one. Not worried.

Just starting to see the heavier winds and rain....going to be a soggy day.

Soggy day sounds like the best scenario when a hurricane is bearing down on ya.

Ha, I'm in the bucket truck today a few miles from the beach. It's crazy windy and rainy out but I am not getting out and working in this. Pretty dumb for them to make us come in today, but whatever. I'm getting paid to sit in the truck and play on my phone all day. :)

We decided to stay at home. We are 20 miles in shore. No storm surge here. But winds and trees don't mix. Backup plan is HS shelter 2 miles away.

Got tired of watching the scare news and made the most of it last night.

Working its way north of me and Cape Canaveral now catching some good gust but nothing too bad .. I never lost power ! That's crazy ... Thank god for the speed wobble east and the down grade to cat 3 . We got lucky ..

Thats what they do but thats a better approach that saying its no big deal and some city that was watching doesn't evacuate and deaths occur.

Looks like the next couple of hours is your biggest risk. 20 miles inland your safe from the storm surge for sure.

We lost power and the winds are pretty ****ing nasty right now. Trees and fences are gone

How far away are you from the shore, any chance of storm surge?

I'm guessing his location but if he is 20 miles inland the storm surge isn't going to affect him. But it's going to be a soggy and windy one.

We are about 47 miles inland and we are seeing driving rain and some heavy blowing wind.
