Had my first In and Out burger here in Scottsdale and the double double burger was great but the fries SUCKED. Flavorless and dried out. Gave them away to two young guys next to me.

Yeah you've got to do something with the fries. What they do is just take potatoes and cut them into a fry shape, and then fry them in a light oil. So what you are getting is simply slices of fried potato which the American fast food consumer is not used to at all. I like to have them 'animal style' to add flavor.
