Alternate football leagues are a strange phenomenon. It seems like they should succeed based on interest in the sport, and they always fail.
As mentioned, I do think the key is to avoid NFL cities, settle in midsized markets, and try to get a small television contract to fill any revenue gap. I think the problem is that everyone tries to go big, and that niche is already filled. |
