You can get a center this year in the draft to take over Reiter and be an upgrade.

And since when does superbowl winner matter for a lineman?

I'm happy with Thurney but wanting Linsley over him makes sense

Er being a sb winner means he'll be well experienced in the big games. And like I said above joe can play in three spots to Linsey's one...so imo both of you are way off base here. Getting a decent center is way easier than getting a all world lg who can play other spots too if needed including center and tackle.

Ngakoue is terrible against the run and is on his 4th team in a year.

LMAO We're not signing him to move him around. The 3 position thing doesn't matter. And LMAO @ guard superbowl experience mattering

If you don’t think versatility matters for Andy Reid, then you haven’t been paying attention at all.

RealSNR 03-15-2021 04:06 PM

Allegretti can play center. Or you just draft a guy.

If the rookie isn't ready to start, you've got Allegretti.

If Allegretti sucks, you've got Thuney.

We have plenty of options. C is not a big deal at all. Besides, I'd count on the rookie we draft being ready to play Day 1 given our history with the position.

Er DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LINE LAST YEAR? or are you just playing dumb now?

Having a guy who has stopped Aaron Donald in the superbowl and can fill in in three positions or having one center who has been part of a line who has gotten their tails kicked in the playoffs over the last two years? YEAH..VEACH MADE A MISTAKE obviously smfh :thumb:

I agree with you.

Replacing Allegretti wasn’t high on my to do list.

They might be sliding Allegretti to center, which happens to be his natural position anyway.

BossChief 03-15-2021 04:13 PM

Allegreti wasn’t good at all in pass protection last year.

I highly doubt the plan is to make him the starting center.

If he wasn't good in pass protection then he needed to be replaced.

So the Thuney signing still makes sense.

I don't get why people don't like this move.

Theres long been a belief on here that the line doesnt matter and you can get by if you have a franchise QB
