3-peat while going undefeated would be crazy.

BWillie 06-13-2024 11:30 AM

With new weapons and a new TE I see no reason to even play the season.

Such a flawed ass record

I think it was Pat Kirwan who once said "if you have to use more than two ifs, you're in trouble."

The Chiefs can go 20-0 IF the left tackle situation is solidified, and IF the receiving corps comes together, and IF offenses cannot hammer our outside corners now that Sneed is gone, and IF the team stays healthy.

Too many ifs for me. Other than the left tackle situation, I actually like our odds on all the other IFs, but I've been wrong too many times to count on that. I think the safe bet is we lose at least a game.

I think by the end of the season, barring injuries, the Super Bowl will be 49ers vs. either us or the Ravens.

Dumb

I'd like them to really push for it this year. If all things kinda come together, yeah, don't go full "it's a marathon" and lets try to do something historic.

An "IF" I forgot is if we're multiple games ahead for first place and rest our starters down the stretch.

Hard to say. Offense appears dramatically better and d only slightly worse. But never know. NFL probably hardest sport to predict pre-season

FloridaMan88 06-13-2024 12:29 PM

If the Chiefs are 16-0, and presumably have the #1 seed locked up heading into Week 18… Andy would still likely rest Mahomes and other key starters rather than go for the undefeated season.

Which would be the smart and correct decision.

In58men 06-13-2024 12:30 PM

On paper, I feel like this is the best offense and defense in the Mahomes era.

They won a whole 14 regular season games, in an era where offensive linemen were often smaller than today's TEs. Greatest team my ass.

Hard to say offense is better than Watkins/hunt team cuz we had two of the best pass blocking tackles in the nfl and we had money to spend before the big contracts were signed.

Hard to say defense is better than last year.

But maybe the best overall team, sure

A three peat is historic enough. I would be stunned if Andy played the starters after seeding is wrapped up. Anyone left of the schedule would love nothing more than keep KC from an undefeated season.

Doesn’t matter as they went undefeated from start to finish and won the SB. Comparing them to a different era is not accurate. Regardless of era no team in the SB era can claim that.
