Great ****ing pickup, I honestly think he is a stud and a much better hitter than we have had back there

Yep. They got bigger, faster, and younger too.

This is the type you wanna spend on as well. Young and still has potential to outplay the deal.

Oh I think he out plays his deal immediately. He was on the dumpster fire Texans…. He was a extremely good safety before that. SS that has hands to catch is hard to find.

He will be great for us in the run game, and In no way a liability in the pass defense.

Sirius XM just takes about yesterdays moves and called Justin Reid the most underrated bc of age, ability and cost

It was easily the best bargain of day 1.

If we get the Reid of the first 2 years it's a steal. If we get the version of the last couple of years, not so much, he really hasn't been that good on an admittedly awful team. I'm fairly ambivalent to this. But we're younger, faster and more physical - and possibly cheaper, so here's hoping.

Playmaker. If you try to explain it in the traditional box vs free safety he's a box safety with + range.

Can play free too but then is below average range wise.

Ideally you pair him with a rangier, free safety.

That's not Thornhill due to Juan's below average processing.

In a salary cap free world you would see Badger AND Reid..

Because that's not happening I would try Sneed at free. Sneed has the instincts that could make him special there. And if that can't work keep drafting looking for a cheaper solution.

I honestly think Sneed is a safety.

For those who have been around a few years, you know that "Gunslingiest" has a contact that sometimes feeds him stuff (he's been right on news a number of different times).

Man, 14m/yr for Marcus Williams seems like a good deal. I realize that financial resources are finite, but that seems like a missed opportunity to me.

Sneed crashed in the draft because he converted to safety in his final collegiate season and struggled with the transition.

Sneed is a CB - full stop. And he's damn good at it. What makes him special is that he's one of the rarer types that can play inside or outside with equal aptitude because he has the physicality and quickness to operate in the slot without a boundary and still provide excellent run support OR move outside and run with bigger, physical WRs and not get pushed off his spot.

Sneed is just a really good football player and trying to move him to a spot where he's had less success, when he's had great success as a CB, is just unnecessary.

My worry was the guy was making business decisions and not playing FB. I mean, **** that.

Thanks for the SB, but I'm not gonna shed a tear watching you pull outta KC

I think he simply lost a step. Undersized and not particularly fast or physical.

I think they went with Reid because they wanted to get bigger, faster and younger at the position. It was the right thing to do.

I don’t disagree with your comments, but I also think what I said was true.
