Sorry, you must still be :bong: from last night. The Steelers are the worst team in the playoffs. Can't see it happening. The best hope is they go up there and give them a good, dirty fight. Perhaps injure some players, They have been known to do that.

It would be ****ing hilarious if the Steelers managed to win that game, but glorious beyond words if the Chiefs ended their season again.

Oh yes, as hilarious as it would be to see the Bills lose an ugly one to the Steelers, the maximum potential for petty joy would be ending the Bills season in Buffalo.

Yeah, it's largely what many expected (present company included)... except that we'd see it earlier than this week while not seeing bullshit like the Raiders game so late in the season.

Give Moore, Toney, CEH chances to prove themselves while keeping guys like Rice and Pacheco healthy for the real season... and then narrow down the receiver rotation, Playoff Mahomes enters the chat and is both dialed in and taking more chances running the ball, defense does what it does.

The biggest surprise was Kelce's three drops... thought he'd be another 'flip the switch' guy, but still had 70 yards though.

Yeah, this is the playoff Chiefs I expected. They were a little more crisp, a little more urgent, just a little more.

I doubt they emptied the playoff playbook for that one. There's some new stuff they'll have in the tank for the next few weeks that works off of what they've shown recently.

this is a down year with a "broken" Mahomes. If we win it all, hoooo boy. How much did you hate the prime patriots, or the broncos? that's gonna be us lol. you go to a different town and you wear your chiefs shit and people hope the plane you're on crashes or you step on an aids needle at the beach.

it's going to be glorious

Oh, it would ramp up the inevitability. And be worse for opposing fans in some ways.

With the Patriots, every year they won it was with a team structured like this. Great D. Smart offense led by a QB who made plays when it mattered and was just always really smart.

If the Chiefs win it this year, they will have won 3 Super Bowls with three very differently constructed teams.

2019 was still all about the offense, wide-open passing attack, weapons, big-plays, and a defense that was tough and able to do just enough.

2022 was more about balance and efficiency. Good defense, an offense that had an answer for everything.

2023 would be about a dominant defense, a great QB elevating an offense, and winning with balance and relying on the D.

I don't even know what to compare it to... at least the Giants' team back in the day that went 9-7 or some bullshit had Eli Manning, and the 10-7 Bengals had Burrow and two #1 WRs.

It would be hilarious if they made it to the AFCCG, yet pretty sad in terms of the quality of football in the AFC this year.

The Steelers formula for a win is a tough one.

They need to be able to run the ball effectively while also shutting down the Bills run game.

They need to clamp down on Diggs with Joey Porter Jr.

They need to do some things that confuse Allen and bait him into some mistakes.

They need to hit some big plays and avoid turnovers on offense.

Playing in an ugly snow-influenced game probably benefits the Steelers a bit more than

A bit of a tangent from your point here, but what makes it really interesting is the Bills/Chiefs in particular has practically settled down into division rivalry territory at this point. Obviously, there are several factors for why they aren't putting up points like the AFCCG and :13 match-ups, like no more Tyreek, probably Daboll related, offenses are down this year in particular..... but, I think it's also a product of seeing the same team an average of 1.75 times/year over 4 years seasons (*if they meet next week).

Hell, given they've had two off weeks against the Chargers in that span, Mahomes has played the Bills once more than he's played the Chargers.

It's almost guaranteed to be a toss-up (as much as you can guarantee things in sports) and I'll take Reid, Spags, and Playoff Mahomes to provide some wrinkles.

I would like to see less cuteness on goaline and 3rd and 4th and 1, especially with the monster Pacheko in the backfield. But if they play like that they will be hard to beat.

Catch the ball and don't turn it over and we can win it all. Defense is that good.

It’s a grind, especially when the main people in Kansas City have had longer seasons than anyone in the league over the last 5+ years. That starts with the HC and trickles down to everyone else.

In the playoffs, we need mistake free football (Mecole,Travis,Jawaan) to be successful. I think they can do it (I know Travis can). But the margin of error will be minimal.

Yea, a Steelers win isn't likely. But Josh is certainly capable of losing any given game.

Wayne Morris started against Buffalo right?

Line looked much betterwith Smith in there.

843GTYellowJacket 01-14-2024 02:30 PM

Keep Toney and Skyy off the field. Feature Rashee Rice. Get Pacheco some running lanes out in space. Let Juwaan Taylor's backup take his spot.

Do those things and we'll be back in the SB!

AFC is weak AF this year.
