Reading that list I'm glad it isn't another foot injury

11 in 5 years. Not exactly broke dick territory.

Injury History

"I don't know when, but that's our hope," Kingsbury added Friday.</td></tr><tr><td>Oct 16, 2022</td><td>NFL</td><td>Pedal Foot Fracture </td><td>Brown was placed on IR on October 20.</td></tr><tr><td>Dec 3, 2023</td><td>NFL</td><td>Pedal Heel Bruise </td><td>Brown left in the second half of Week 13 vs. the Steelers due to a nagging heel injury.</td></tr><tr><td>Dec 17, 2023</td><td>NFL</td><td>Pedal Heel Bruise </td><td>Brown reinjured his heel in Week 15 vs. the 49ers.</td></tr><tr><td>Aug 10, 2024</td><td>NFL</td><td>Shoulder S/C Joint Separation </td><td>Brown went down in Week 1 of the preseason.</td></tr></tbody></table>

But a separated shoulder or collarbone isn't an "injury prone" type injury - it's a freak injury that happens from falling wrong. It's not a chronic ankle or foot recurrence or a hammy that pulls all the time.

Sucks about Brown. We were excited to see him now but all is not lost. Offense will be fine. We have the core still here. Let him heal up. No rush

Looks like he's missed a total of 8 games in 5 seasons. Not horrible.

Well, in all fairness, our most explosive offenses of the Mahomes era were when we had Sammy Watkins.

Maybe this is a good omen . . . . . .

Gotta hope that Rice's inevitable suspension doesn't hit at the same time to allow Brown to come back healthy, or at least as healthy as he can be, then try to mitigate contact through different routes as best as possible. Patrick will be fine regardless, always has been. When my sister was asking questions this weekend like, "We look terrible, what the hell!?" I'm like i'm going to tell you the same thing that Dad told us every year, and those are the years when we sucked, "It's only Preseason."

mabbott 08-12-2024 09:18 AM

Most of the injuries were due to one issue persisting and 5 of the 11 didn't have him miss a game at all. The amount of injuries players have playing a violent sport is not surprising. Hell, Mahomes has been "injured" a lot and plays through it.

On Rice's suspension, they aren't going to do anything until the civil/criminal case is done... that doesn't seem to have a priority and most likely will take a long time!

Hoover 08-12-2024 09:22 AM

As for the Rice thing, nothing is going to happen to him this season. But if he balls out and is awesome, expect a 4 game suspension to start next year once everyone has forgotten about his incident...

You do realize that there have been a lot of 1st round WR, or could have been, that were not able to make the transition from college to the NFL.

Need to play him more

On the contrary imagine, we lose Rice, Browns out. We fight and claw our way to another Super Bowl and the rest of the league gives up.
