Just rescuing this thread from Page 12 before tonights Game #5...
Surprising that no "Haters" had any comments after the 102-97 victory that evened the series at 2-2. Then again NOT!!!;) So KG gets a few wins on the Staples Crew and decides to call his shot by boasting about the series being "over"? (had the T-Cubs won Game #4) Nice choke job from the charity stripe.... The biggest news is Rick Fox going down for the year. This had to make Wally Z and that unshaven Euro "Rose" in Cowtown happy. The T-Cubs had their chance to put the stranglehold on the 3-time Champs in Game #4 and lost it. (Just like that funny little NoCal team in 2002 did) Look for a win tonight and closure this Thursday for the Lakers. Provided the Boot Accessorizors avoid the Coach of the Year (Popovich) jinx against the Valley of the Sun, look for the REAL Championship Series to begin this Sunday. |
Hopefully the T-Wolves won't have to beat both the Lakers and the refs this time around like in game three.

Dang! BTW, did you see that slam by Kobe? |
Message to Garnett: this series is over. Too bad you're going to be the one sitting at home.

Kobe has game, of that no one can question. |
I really think that the loss of Rick Fox is going to help the Lakers in the long run.
I've thought all year that Devean George was better than him and now he has his chance. He is more athletic, longer and can do more for the Laker offense than Fox can. I think Fox is a decent player, but the Lakers are more lethal with George in the lineup, which is why George has been closing games pretty much all year and Fox has been riding the pine. |

The key is Devean George needs to be more consistant than he has been all year. He is more athletic, a better jumper, and takes the ball to the basket more than Rick does, but he doesn't shoot as consistantly, nor defend as well as Fox.
The good thing is that the loss of Fox will hopefully force the Lakeshow to up their level of focus (something that has been come and go). |

Jim, Definately time for the A game every night. I am encouraged after watching the Spurs fight off the Suns in the 4th. SA is struggling to hold on to those huge leads they get. |
