Perhaps you meant to say "I am a Kobe fan and don't like it when people talk negatively of him"? |

nah you guys can keep bringing up old ass shit all you want but it seems pretty pointless to me. i prefer to talk about shit that actually matters
|
The ho had more nut in and on her that wasn't kobe's to fill up a sperm bank when she went to her "rape" exam....LMAO
Lakes had a great run and for all of the haters that say don't bring up all of your championships because only "today" matters......well we lost "yesterday"...you move on as well....since only "today" matters...Yesterday is already history....next....I am extrememly proud of this group that gave us back to back titles, without fat ass Shaq and revenge on the mfkin Celtics....I was content after that.....and apparently, so was the team.....shit happens....most dominant runs end with ugly outcomes (sweeps).... |
5 rings in 10 years, suck it!!

Wonder if the Lakers go the predictable route and hire B-Shaw or Scott or maybe go after someone like Jerry Sloan...hmm...

Its not going to be Coach K, he's not going to leave Duke. I think Sloan is done, dude is old anyways. I think they will go away from the triangle, i really do.
Like i said they need to get younger and faster, if you can get anything good from Pau and or Odom, you make the trade. Fisher wont be back, if he does, he's not going to be a starter. He's terrible at both ends now days. Kupchek will get it done. Dudes a good gm. |
Who really cares anymore?
NBA head coaches are almost completely fungible. The players make too much money and have too much influence (quietly driven by Stern, IMO) for coaches to really make a big difference anymore. Guys like Tom Thibodoux will be great for a season or two, but most of them eventually get driven out as well once their players start to succeed. The NBA really is a bit of a poison league right now. Stern has done everything he could over the last 2 decades do build a league built around individual players and now those individual players run the asylum, so to speak. Ultimately, I'm not sure I care who ends up coaching LA when it gets right down to it. I don't think anyone's likely to make a legitimate difference there. |

Have to get a coach Kobe will respect. Not so sure coach K might not try it out for a couple of year$. Dump Artest, D Fish for sure. Trade any 1 of the big men they can get something for. Get on the phone with Orlando and do what it takes to make D. Howard work. Draft an athletic slahser to play up top. |

In general I agree with your personnel suggestions. |

Shaw has certainly put in the time and is a known first-class commodity. I'm more curious to see who they keep and who they don't. Speaking of Shaw I wish we had Sedrick Shaw running the ball for the Hawks again this year. |
It was pretty shocking to see how classless the lakers were in the series.

You hate to speak ill of the departed, but Jackson clearly lost his team. Granted, it's their fault more than his, but a change was definitely needed. That's why I'm pretty opposed to Shaw at this point. Why would they listen to Jackson's minion if they wouldn't listen to Jackson himself? An change in the organizational tenor is critical to getting another couple of strong years in before Kobe's fried. They need new voices or they'll simply continue their slow slide into irrelevance. |

Artest's cheap shot in game 2 was pathetisad and that head-case animal should be put down. Bynum's cheapy on an exposed guard half his size was bad enough. What capped it off was him taking shirt off while being esocrted by that pillar of civility Ron Artest. Clown squad. |

Brian Shaw will not be hired.
They will not get Dwight for Bynum either. Its to much taking a chance on him. Remember they took a chance this year when they made that reeruned ass trade mid season. Lakers are going to have to replace fisher. Its obvious its time for his ass to take a back seat and be a 15 min a game guy if he wants to continue playing for the Lakers. Lakers have some things to work with. Pau, Odom and Bynum (dont think he's going anywhere, He's Jim Buss's project and his ass is now actually running the show). Lakers have some shit to work with, but with the lock out looming, it may just be one big cluster****. We know they need to get younger and have a f ew guys they could get nice return for. |

Why would he want to coach the NBA with Kobe exiting his prime and now when Kobe entered his prime? Makes absolutely no sense for K to FINALLY join the NBA ranks. I dont know what the **** is going to happen, but it wont be the Triangle and it wont be Coach K. Some folks are wanting rick adleman. I dont mind that. We just dont know though. |
Screw Coach K, the Lakers got Mike Freaking Brown! LMAO
|
The dark ages have began. 2-3 years of blah Lakers coming.
|
Not sure how I feel about this... the dude has a sparkling record but then again he had lebron in a shitfest eastern conference. Better than the alternatives is the best I can say.
Shaw wouldn't have been bad considering whoever the next laker coach is going to be is gonna end up a sacrificial lamb anyways. |

Mike Brown LMAO

Did the lakers hire mike brown?

Looks like they did, 4.5 mil per year.

It depends on the staff he hires. Impressive regular season record though. |
Mike Brown....really? You go from one of the greatest coaches in NBA history to Mike freaking Brown. Why?

I still think Mike Brown took a lot of shit for LeBron James' shortcomings.
Brown's a good defensive coach that builds tough teams. In short - his strengths were exactly the Lakers' weaknesses. He's not a bad hire. And in all honesty, I'm not sure a 'good' hire even available. Getting a lunchpail HC for this team full of floaters and prima-donnas is probably a good idea. |
Brown trying to lure Ettore Messina as Offensive Assistant
http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=19913 I've heard of him but don't know a whole lot about him. He draws some comparisons to the Euro version of Pat Riley |

Kobe's wife filed for divorce.

Perhaps David Stern can block Vanessa Bryant's divorce papers.
|
Smh. They had no prenup too. She's going to get half.

And the Lakers take the lead, but just watching these guys I don't think that they're going to be able to win a championship without a trade.
|
That sucked. Even without bynum.

If Gasol is going to play insanely stupid basketball, like today, he should have his ass shipped out immediately with Bynum for Howard. The worst thing that can happen is that Bynum gets hurt early this year. Mitch should be on the phone with Otis Smith to make a deal. If they can throw that trade exception in to get a PF that can play 30 minutes with Murphy and McBob, they can compete. This current team has no shot at all. Refs really ****ed up that travel though at the end on Deng. God almighty, I know things get left go, but that's just absurd. |
how'd Kobe look? I only caught 5-minutes worth. Went and saw Girl+Dragon+tatoo

Rose was clutch....kobe was not...what's new?

wanted to dust this baby off.
IS BYNUM THE BEST OFFENSIVE CENTER IN THE LEAGUE? WILL PAU GET TRADED TO THE BULLS? ARE KOBES LEGS GOING TO FALL OFF AND MIKE BROWN WILL STILL MAKE HIM PLAY? I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! http://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townn...9db8.image.jpg |

Sessions is very underrated, this is a fantastic deal. We still got the TPE!

It's a great deal for the Lakers. SA just raped GS on the Jackson Jefferson trade. Not liking this day :)
|
Fisher out Jordan Hill in.
Thanks for the memories Fish |
Wow...the Lakers managed to get a first round pick back w/ Jordan Hill for Derek Fisher.
So in other words, the Lakers traded Derek Fisher and Luke Walton for Jordan Hill and Ramon Sessions. How the !@#$ did that happen? Did someone forget that both Fisher and Walton suck a TON and are wildly overpaid? Or that Ramon Session is actually kindof good and even Jordan Hill is not bad? So long, Fish - but you are truly terrible these days. |
Looks like the league office has also given the Lakers an extension to make the Beasley trade.
Mitch actually did a hell of a job during this deadline of getting younger without actually giving anything up. I'm just completely at a loss. NBA GM's are freakin' dumb, man. |
Okay - WoJo just updated his tweet to reflect that the Lakers gave the Rockets a first rounder for Hill.
Trade makes more sense now. |

LA times is reporting it is a conditional draft pick they got for the Odom trade
|
Beasley deal is dead.
It kinda takes the starch out of the other 2 deals. The Lakers remain playoff fodder without an additional scorer. That team just has no depth at all and they can't continue to start Ron Artest. Beasley as an oversized 3 that routes shooters into the middle for cleanup work by Bynum/Gasol would've been a very nice addition that could have made them favorites out of the West. Now they'll probably still check out in the 2nd. |

This Laker team constructed right now is far better than the one that lost to the Mavs last year. |
