No one was hitting the first week to 10 days of the season, so you've got to figure that in as well.

Forget the starting rotation for a second. They've scored 52 runs over their last eight games against legit pitching ... I'm trying to think of a rational reason to start Miguel Olivo over John Buck that doesn't involve nepotism or blackmail ... As of this writing, former problem child Alberto Callaspo has an OPS of 1.001 in 87 plate appearances. I have no punchline here.

Sun, meet dog's ass. Now start shining.

Another thing that I think it's pretty neat is that this is Kansas City's seventh comeback win of the season.

if the Royals keep this up....football season will be here before we know it!

Good win for the boys in blue. that was another game, in past years we would have found a way to lose. That jacobs homer would have looked alot sweeter if the grass was still here.

Where did it finally land? I thought they said it hit the base of the HD Scoreboard?

Demonpenz 05-06-2009 08:14 AM

you can walk behind that ugly green wall and it bounced around in there popped up and hit below the "strike" on the scoreboard

They need to trade Dejesus, he's not nearly as good in left field as he is in center.

CaliforniaChief 05-06-2009 09:59 AM

I'd send DeJesus and a prospect to the Athletics for Matt Holliday. The way he's disappointed so far, they might just make that deal. Heck, they might do a straight-up deal.

What?

Defensively, he's a much better fit for LF. He doesn't have nearly the range for center. There have been several examples this season of Crisp making catches that DeJesus wouldn't even sniff.

He had a bad night yesterday, but that's not indicative of his overall ability to play the position.

IM not one to jump to conclusions too fast, but he was horrible out there in LF last night.

He might be a "better fit" for LF but he doesn't show it.

He is constantly getting turned around and stumbling all over the place. Maybe after awhile he might get used to the angles but so far he pretty much sucks.

I think he'll be fine and prove to be above-average defensively in LF. This statement has been true when he's been asked to play there in the past, and I expect it to continue.

Until last night he'd been pretty good in LF. Last weekend in Minny every time a ball was hit out there it seemed like we were hearing circus music as turned circles to trty to find the ball. But "The Hump" (as MLB players used to call it) isn't a fielders paradise.

He didn't play that long fly last night very well but was still there to make the play.

He's doing okay.

WTF

Dejesus seems like a real nice guy, i hope he gets the hang of it. Every time the ball is hit out to left i hold my breath though.

Ironic that those two guys tag teamed to win the game in the end.

To continue to compete, we really need Davies to regain his game.

His ERA is actually worse.
