Easiest way to shut these assholes down (outside of slaughtering the lot of them) is having them secretly declared a terrorist group, then snatching them all up en masse when they try to "protest" somewhere.

Sunday is also the day a community wide memorial service is being planned. Coincidence? I don't think so |
From 7am to 7pm tomorrow in Lawrence, people from Great Plains Media (105.9 the lazer, 1320 KLWN) will be collecting things and loading them onto a semi-trailer to haul down to Joplin.
http://www.lazer.com/pages/9897328.php Just picked up 4 cases of water, paper towels, tooth brushes and toothpaste to drop off first thing in the morning. Thought I'd share this in case any other CP members in Lawrence want to donate some things. |

I'm pretty sure no one has killed Fred Phelps yet because he surrounds himself with his family. There's always children around him.

Also this permit thing they are doing is stupid as hell |

Great to hear. Didn't realize you were a fellow Joplinite. Hope it didn't tear you up to bad. |

Well I hope that is true. |
The meteorologist on AC 360 acts like a crazy person. AC looked horrified to be working with the guy.

lots of info coming down the pipes. but really, why do you police people bringing food in to help out with those in need? |

For reasons I don't want to discuss on CP I know they screwed up one of the first ID's. Distraught family members wrongly ID'd a body and they almost buried the wrong person. It is a true story, I know the person and family involved unfortunately. |

I talked to a tree service guy from Indiana that said he drove 14 hours straight to get there. He was hanging out in a gas station looking for something to do. Meanwhile local people were in the areas cutting up trees with chainsaws. It's just to disorganized from what I can see. |

Had to park at 20th Pearl and walk in. It was the craziest shit I have ever seen. I will never forget. |
One of the hold-ups right now is the insurance companies in that they don't have enough adjusters(sp?) here to make assessments before clean up can begin.

A coworker thought his house was salvageable but the water damage to the interior structure totaled it. The water damage issue never even occurred to me with the shit ripped apart damage being so apparent. The entire day of rain on Monday didn't help. |

People didn't have cell phones before in times like this but when you have one and it's useless it pisses you the **** off. My GF's daughter text her "we are trying to get out of the house" and then we didn't gt another message or communicate again until we got to the house. Scary shit. |

From what I understand some of the biggest needs are toiletries, clothes, shoes etc...rather than food, water etc.... Lot's of people lost everything so those things are huge. I would imagine there is a rally point for those type items but I am not sure where. I am sure one of the others can answer. |

Conflicting stories on baby Skyular's fate
Share | .StoryDiscussionConflicting stories on baby Skyular's fate BY TODD C. FRANKEL > tfrankel@post-dispatch.com > 314-340-8110 STLtoday.com | Posted: Wednesday, May 25, 2011 10:14 pm | No Comments Posted Font Size:Default font sizeLarger font sizeShare91 Robert Cohen Rusty Burton keeps his grandson Skyular Logsdon's picture on his cellphone as he waits at the missing persons center at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. Family members are frantically searching for the 16-month-old boy after the child disappeared during Sunday evening's tornado. Skyular's parents, Carol Jo Tate and Corderro Logsdon, were both injured and are hospitalized in Pittsburg. Robert Cohen rcohen@post-dispatch.com . ..Related Stories Related: A frantic search for baby missing in storm JOPLIN, Mo. • Family members of 16-month-old Skyular Logsdon offered conflicting reports Wednesday night about the fate of the toddler missing after Joplin's tornado. The Kansas City Star reported that the boy's great-uncle had identified Skyular at the morgue on Wednesday. The Star attributed the information to the stepmother of the child's uncle. They are both relatives of the boy's father. But relatives of Skyular's mother told the Post-Dispatch that Skyular was not in the morgue Wednesday and that they had checked again with disaster officials after hearing about the disputed accounts. "As far as we know, he's still missing," said the boy's stepgrandfather, Rusty Burton. "So far, there hasn't been any changes" in the boy's status. Skyular disappeared from his mother's arms in Sunday's storm. His mother, Carol Tate, and his father, Corderro Logsdon, were both severely injured and taken to a Kansas hospital. With the parents in the hospital, other relatives have undertaken the search for Skyular. The efforts made by Burton and three other relatives were detailed in a Post-Dispatch article on Wednesday. The relatives quoted by the Star could not be contacted by the Post-Dispatch. Burton said that "these false reports" about Skyular being found only compounded the family's anguish |

What is the situation with walking around freely and not being allowed access to places. When I first read about things it seemed like the restricted permit system was limited to vehicle access but then some stuff I saw today made me question that.
As a photographer walking around after I take care of my official business what kind of leeway will I have. Any folks familiar with the situation? |
Don't loot and you'll be fine if it's not during curfew.
