No, USC QB's scare the shit out of me, #7 to boot, and did I mention his first name is Matt?
|
Geno Smith = 10 inches
Matt Barkley = 3 inches |

And that ****ing #7. No thanks. "I LOVE SHITTY KARMA AND CAN'T READ THE SIGNS OF IMPENDING DOOM"-screams this pick. |

Barkley is undervalued on this board.
He comes out last year, he's a top 10 pick. This year, the pendulum is swinging too far in the other direction. |
Landry Jones was projected top 10 last year...now he's not even in the first 3 rounds in a so-called "bad class"....
I think the general consensus is nobody knows what the **** is going on anymore besides the fact that they feel uncomfortable when Geno is naked in the locker room |

[QUOTE=@KCsporting;9328542]Well if you would wonder over to the worst website on earth. bleacherreport.com you will find Geno on top of that board.

Barkley will be a fine backup, like all past USC QBs.
|
I actually watched some game tape on Barkley today and he was better than I thought. He consistantly makes 2 or 3 reads and the only other QB who does that regularly is Wilson imo. I still like Wilson and Geno better but, I wouldn't cry if we wound up with Barkley.

I like Barkley from Sesame Street as a better QB prospect.

Barkley will shine at the Combine. His football IQ, how he handles the media, and his interactions with coaches and front office staff will have him back on top.

Said he thinks he'll get pushed up the board but at the end of the day, he's a low 1st-round prospect. |
The guest is Lance Zierlein.

If Barkley came out last year, he would have been the third overall pick.
I don't think he drops out of the top ten. |

Brandon Weeden and Christian Ponder went in the first round....think about that for a second
Yeah, I see Geno, Wilson and Barkley all going in the top ten Maybe even Nassib if his college coach (that is now the HC in Buffalo) likes him enough. |

Do you know why guys like Direkshun for example aren't talking about the draft much this year? This is a good example of why. You guys are so far gone and desperate on this quarterback class that it's not even funny to most. Th It's just annoying to most people and they go elsewhere. I know because I post at the same sites. I am just patient and entertained for now. |

Wilson Barkley Glennon I can see it for sure, I think 3 is a no doubter but 4 is possible. |
Quote:
I see three in the top 15. No way I see 4 in the top 10. |
Quote:
Jags Raiders Eagles Bills Browns Cards Jets All of those teams could draft a QB in the 1st. I can also see Dallas making a move up for one. |
Quote:
But you're banking on the idea that at least 4 of them WILL. I don't see it. |

They can't ALL suck. Some of them have to represent the norm, and only a few get to be exceptionally terrible. 2010 was one of those really terrible classes. Same with 2011. And really, I would put 2009 as a pretty bad class, too. 2008 would be bad as well if it weren't for teams like Atlanta and Baltimore that ignored the ****ing idiots that parroted the, "QB not worth it! QB not worth it!" mantra for ****ing months. 2007 and 2006, obviously, ****ing shitty as hell. 2013 is a GOOD QB class. People just don't realize it yet. And yes, that includes the scouts and national draft media experts that people irrationally cling to. If it isn't an obvious selection sitting in front of them like Andrew Luck, these assholes often wouldn't know a good QB if he raped their mothers. |
Quote:
|
I also think Barkley gets shit on way too much on this forum. He's a first round talent for sure, and I think enough teams need QBs that somebody will trade up into the top 15 or even the top 10 to draft him.
|
He's not my favorite QB but, I see him as the first off the board right now.

2008 had a QB with an average arm and a less than 2/1 td/int ratio; and a QB from ****ing Delaware who threw for a 189 yards against Delaware St... this fanbase would lose their idiot shit if those were our options this year and both QBs have been to conference championship games, one to the superbowl |
Barkley get's shit on by virtue of playing for USC. If he was playing in the SEC people would be blowing him. The guy was a potential top 5 pick last year. His talent and skills didn't just disappear when he returned for his senior year. He still had a good year, the whole team just underperformed for the most part.
Barkley was insane in the LSU game. |
Quote:
My thing is Matt is simple. I've had my fill of weak armed KC QBs. Some good (Green) and a lot who were bad (namely Cassel). I'm just tired of that style of play. I want to watch something different. So for that reason, I'd rather roll the dice on a project guy with tools than see Matt Barkley. That's just me. |
i think there's a good chance barkley is top 15, depending on combine chatter...
if he drops into the 20's someone will move up for him |

But they have been saying all season how Barkley's arm strength is much improved this year. I think this misconception has been coming from some of his highlight videos where he sails them and it's underthrown. And with a lot of those, it's because he sailed the balled too much, not because he didn't throw it hard enough. |
Quote:
He's a better prospect than Locker, who "fell" to #8 overall after having a shit senior season. Barkley, on the other hand, had a very solid year, and I expect he'll likely be top 10. Health is the only question mark at this point. |
