Note how close Matt Moore was to Alex Smith.

Dude is a pretty big bump from Cassel. He was punished even in his "Pro Bowl" year. Jeez, what an abortion ***** was hitching his wagon to him. This site hates Andy Dalton BTW a guy I've never been too high on watching him play. Flacco is just sooooo up and down. |

And he the least physical 6-3, 220 lb CB ever. |

He had one of the worst PFF ratings in the league in 2008 with NE. He has been and always will be a turd. |

I still am curious what happened to Sean Smith the 2nd half of the season. Had one hell of a start and pretty much fell off the cliff play wise.

Just looked at the PFF stats here and they don't exactly support the improvement these guys were talking about but there has to be more to the guys story than those ratings.

He's going to allow 730+ yards in KC, I bet. |

We also gota figure in he'll have Houston, Hali pass rushing. Better secondary help.

How was Miami's safety play the last couple of years?

I do find it hilarious Dolphin fans hated him, but all the football guys love him and this is being seen by all media that it's a great move.

Go Chiefs would have made a great Nazi propagandist.

Or like 1 completion. How much did Smith end up costing? Was it 50 mil? How much is 10 ypg worth ya think?. |

I find it hilarious Clay uses PFF rankings as gospel...Alex Smith was the 8th highest rated QB in 2011...and IMO from watching he looked better in 2012 than he ever did in 2011.
Hilarious. Clay I don't remember you ever posting about him being the 8th highest rated player in 2011 from your "bible" when you were trying to obliterate him with stats about a month ago. You seem to leave really convenient factors out of the equation a lot. |
Quote:
And I've already explained: it's easy to rack up a good PFF rating when you avoid tough throws or taking risks. |
Quote:
You said earlier that he is the most targeted CB in the league. That sounds pretty good to me, especially when you consider the lowest passing yards/game on offense last year was 185.2 by the Steelers. If we have 4 DBs that can keep their individual totals at or under 45.625 yards/game (185.2 yards approximately) then we should have one of, if not the top passing defenses in the league.... |
Quote:
Brandon Carr was a very good CB for us. Sean Smith is burn city. |
Quote:
so he was 18th when he played 8 games on a site that accumulates rankings as you play...meaning he projected to be right where Matt Schaub was (or 12th) had he played all 16 games. and earlier you said 2011 was a better indicator of the kind of player Sean Smith is (I'm not sure why)...but now 2012 is the year to judge Alex Smith (even though he projected to be about the same as 2011)... you're awesome |
Quote:
Another good sign he's hot garbage. |
this is just excellent
I love it |
Quote:
Alex Smith isn't going to win 13 games IN KANSAS CITY doing what he did in San Francisco. Period. |
Brandon Carr was a ****ing stud at CB 2, wish we had him. Carr isnt a number 1. But then again Dallas D sucked and their secondary is putrid
|
Either way he's a HUGE upgrade over Cassel. Cassel's 08 and 10 being so bad is just gold.

When everyone on this site, and I mean EVERYONE, is bitching about Sean Smith right along with me in a few months. It's GOING to happen. And when it does, I will appreciate the blowjobs. Bookmark this post, ****er. |

Did your second life emoticon die? Why the constant bitching? |

That was 42nd out of 55 CBs. |

Upgrade the interior pass rush and we won't bitch as much though.
His rankings are a bit of a kick to the balls though as they often similar to what I see on the field. |

I read somewhere he was targeted like 100 times one year lol. That is ridiculous. |
you know what I do know
Sean Smith, Dunta Robinson, Mike DeVito and Donnie Avery if they ****ing suck you know what I know? none of them have salary cap crippling contacts...each and every one can be cut and we suffer LITTLE short term or long term implications ****ing whiny bitches on this site |

Sounds like a plan. |

That's why I like those moves. None of those contracts hinder our future in any way. If they work great, if not CYA.

we have a ton of holes and people are bitching because we are spending money ok fine don't like Dunta and Sean? Cool. Who the **** should we have signed instead? No one? |

This post right here shows that your opinion is completly slanted. There is no way whatsoever that you could know that. And the fact is, that stat is 1000 times more telling of a player than total yards. |

I don't think YPA is a good measuring stick for a CB.
It doesn't take into account things like Sean Smith getting ****ing toasted but Mark Sanchez missing the pass. http://i.imgur.com/5Zl4zeu.gif |
Didn't I see a gif of him getting a pick in front of Andre Johnson?

On that many attempts, I'd say it's a pretty good indicator. That's not bad a bad number at all TBH.
